Jenjin Report post Posted February 17 White honey, warm musk, and ambrette seed. All shrines that were Vestal are flameless, But the flame has not fallen from this; Though obscure be the god, and though nameless The eyes and the hair that we kiss; Low fires that love sits by and forges Fresh heads for his arrows and thine; Hair loosened and soiled in mid orgies With kisses and wine. Gold Dust Kitten Report post Posted March 1 scents like this trigger my synesthesia— and I saw a pale golden glow when I sniffed this in the bottle. I was immediately reminded of the “honey musk” note in Lady Una, which is in my top five favorite BPAL perfumes. this is so sensual-smelling on my skin, and I want to bathe in it. I'm so happy that the honey is not that dirty, sexual honey in scents like Womb Furie and O (which I was kind of expecting based on the name), it’s soft and fairylike, dancing joyfully with the glowing musk and ambrette seed. I’m so in love with this. I adore skin scents and will definitely need to pick up another bottle before it disappears.
becca_s Report post Posted March 30 This is a warm, golden honey musk scent. My partner who has never commented on any fragrance I've worn in the last 10 years said to me this morning "That's where that nice smell is coming from" when I walked passed. I agree that the honey and skin musk here reminds me of Lady Una without the herbal notes. This is one of my favorites from my recent order.
Tamarinda Report post Posted April 21 Alas. Powder. This seems to be a thing with both white musk and white honey on my skin lately. It's a very pleasant smelling powder, but not what I was looking for.
sea turtle Report post Posted April 27 Must be the tamest orgy ever because this smells like high end baby oil — a little powdery, a little soapy, and overall very clean. I think this is a decent "your skin but better" scent, but it's not for me. As an aside, this is the most viscous of all my Luper samples!
doomsday_disco Report post Posted May 1 (edited) I tried this on the back of my hand, and applied the hair gloss on my skin further up my arm. I am pleased to report that they are very similar, with the perfume oil having more longevity and throw on the skin, and the hair gloss having a slightly deeper/richer honey (probably due to aging since 2013). This is not like Implacable Beautiful Tyrant where the perfume oil is much lighter than the hair gloss, fortunately. It's an alluring honey musk party on my skin that lasts all day, and does become a little powdery thanks to either the musk or the musky ambrette seed, but not in a bad way. This is probably one of my favorite scents from this year's Lupercalia update. I even enjoy it more than the re-release of Our Lady of Pain, which I'm wearing now. I'm glad I blind bottled it and will definitely be pairing it with the hair gloss to bask in a cloud of honey musk. Edited May 1 by doomsday_disco
Little Bird Report post Posted May 7 A little sweeter, a lot stronger, and just all around better than the hair gloss, in my opinion (and I like and still have a half bottle left of the hair gloss). It is the scent of the hair gloss, but it's longer lasting and has a chance to play out on the skin in this format, so it really shines. There's the clean - but not soapy - skin musk and tons of sweet, thick, dark honey. I like sultry honeys that don't smell like freshly squeezed honey, but are more sweet, sensual, creamy, and dark. Bpal's O is the epitome of that honey (darkened with amber, fleshed out with creamy, sweet vanilla), and Hair Loosened is in that same family for me. It doesn't go soapy or powdery to my nose, though that clean skin musk is definitely very present throughout the hours of wear.
amoray Report post Posted May 29 The tea party in the garden took a wild turn. And here they are naked and smelling like sweet honey musk on a sunny afternoon. I do think the ambrette seed goes a bit powdery but it just adds to the softness of this scent. It is a very comforting golden afternoon scent.
