wodnesse Report post Posted March 23 Tested this from my blind-bottle since I know people are going to be looking for opinions: The "snow-laden" had me wondering if it would have any of the snow note, and I do believe I can catch it while the scent is wet, a kind of bracing element to the first inhale that continues to linger and help differentiate the floral notes. The peony and rose are very light (white, tonally) florals that play nicely together in the nose, they don't over power one another and it's definitely not a stereotypical rose. the dark plum comes in at the end, the breath after the sniff almost! I find it to be really inviting overall as a scent, androgynous and professional among the more bodacious shungas.
ShadowEtienne Report post Posted April 10 This is a beautiful late winter/start of spring floral. On my skin, it is mainly peonies and cherry blossoms, airy and beautiful. The snow note that wraps around them reminds me of Talvikuu's snow. It is fresh and sort of floral and promises spring soon in its wetness. The plum juice is there as a soft undercurrent, bringing a fruitiness to the florals, but staying well behaved and a backing note. The rose petals are a barely there whisper helping to emphasize the florals. Despite not sharing any named notes, this has a similar overall scent profile to Prague, which is one of my favorite GCs. sunshineTea Report post Posted May 11 The cherry trees make a pleasantly tart, woodsy note that pops on my skin when I first apply it. The sweet, airy florals come in after a minute and balance it out really well. The plum is a subtle supporting note that ties the rest together and adds some body. Wouldn't notice the rose if I wasn't looking for it. Feels appropriate for any season, and it's a fairly tame floral that I'll enjoy for everyday wear. dancingchair Report post Posted May 14 Wet and in the bottle, this is a fruity floral explosion. As it dries, the plum settles considerably and it becomes a peony-forward floral. Lurking beneath the soft peony note is the white rose petal note.It is definitely rose petal and not the whole flower. It's not full and floral enough for the entire bloom and it's not green enough to include the stem. It is a supporting floral, so it really just adds velvety depth to the peony. The snow-laden cherry trees aren't as strong as the florals, but they're ever-present in this perfume. The snow note leans aquatic to me, like melted slush weighing down the boughs of the tree. The wood note is grounding, but more of a supporting note to the florals. I can't tell if there's cherry blossom here. I think it gets eaten a bit by the peony and plum notes if it is. The plum note is truly just the juice, staining the petals of the early spring peony. It is sweet and sometimes I swear it's sugared. I don't think it darkens this perfume much at all, which I would describe as a white/pink floral. I think this is a little soapy on me, but I don't think it's a bad thing. It's clean and pleasant, perfect for a warm spring day. It's not screechy or harsh, but it does have good throw so a little goes a long way.
