samanare Report post Posted May 1 A woodsy pine scent with a splash of berries. The pine dominates the scent on me. The raspberry leaf is noticeable and both provides a berry note to the scent as well as adding to the greenery of the pine. I can't pick out the other notes on their own. The other berry notes are dominated by the raspberry. I don't get lemon at all and I think the green tea may be adding to the pine note. Overall, the combination makes for a woodsy, resiny, almost tar like pine scent. The freshness of the berries cuts through, but this is definitely a wood scent more than anything else. dancingchair Report post Posted May 7 On application, it smells a bit reminiscent of a cleaning chemical, but in a nice way. That burns off pretty quickly, though. In the wet stage, this is very heavy on the blackcurrant and raspberry leaf. As it wears, this becomes surprisingly resinous and tarred, almost smoky. It must be the white pine as samanare said. It ends up being a smoky wood scent with hints of deep red berries. It's decidedly sticky with tar or pine pitch. Little Bird Report post Posted May 23 Smoky, astringent, and bitter, like the taste of tea that's been made with water that was way too hot and then it was left for way too long. The pine smells like burning pine pitch and menthol. I normally love black currant / cassis, but I get the sour lemon and no berries for the first half hour. After that point, it's like sweet raspberry smothered in woodsmoke. It's not at all what I hoped for. I don't care for the harsh smoke or medicinal, bitter tones. Tangy just ripe blackcurrant with the bright sharpness of raspberry leaf (all leaf no berries) take the forefront of this scent on me. Not too far behind is just zested lemon peel and a slightly toasty green tea that keeps the blackcurrant from becoming a fruit bomb or syrupy. The pine is absolutely nowhere to be found on my skin (I could smell it in the decant). This is lovely and fruity without being too sweet on me. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
