BPAL Madness!

Recommended Posts

It starts out with bright, tart, luscious guava. The dry down is where the slightly more vegetal fig and the smoothness of the vanilla cream come out and balance that loud tartness. Love it, definitely a keeper.

Juicy sweet guava against a background of cream and green fig. Not lactonic. Feels gentle and innocent, but deliciously ripe and dripping with juice. The imagery might be sexual, but the scent is actually more tropical. If it was a color, it'd be bright rosy pink (like guava).

Just Before Penetration: pink fig smells like it sounds, fig, but make it Barbie pink. This is a sweet scent, but not candied. The sweetness comes from the ripe fruit and vanilla kissing. The cream isn't lactonic, but more like a soft fuzziness. This is Awake after she's taken off her slinky dress and make up and is fresh faced and sweet, wrapped up in her fuzzy pink robe.

Juicy and mouthwatering, like cutting a ripe grapefruit. It reminds me very strongly of Pacifica Ruby Guava until the fig shows up, an earthy fig I have smelled in other BPAL blends. I don't get the vanilla cream per se but I imagine it's the base holding it all together.

The pink fig is the star of the show here, and it's the same one found in Dead Leaves, Vanilla Bean, Pink Fig, and Brandied Dates. It is not as figgy as other fig notes, but it is still strong, and never allows the guava to take over. I also am not getting the vanilla cream from this, but maybe it just needs some time to age before it peeks out. As a result, this is much tarter than I was expecting. Drag on a Slime and Xanthe, the Weeping Clown both feature guava, but are much sweeter since they're accompanied by sugary notes. But the guava in this is juicy, but not sweet -- I think that may be partially due to the fig not wanting to share the stage with the other notes very much.

I will hold onto this bottle for at least a month and see if the vanilla cream emerges after it has had more time to settle. But at the moment, I prefer Dead Leaves, Vanilla Bean, Pink Fig, and Brandied Dates.

A sweet fig and guava duo. I agree that the fig here, is similar to that in Dead Leaves, Vanilla Bean, Pink Fig, and Brandied Dates, though obviously this scent is much sweeter. The guava and fig blend together to make a very bright and sweet fruit note. I cannot pick out the vanilla on its own, but this scent is particularly sweet, though it's fruity, not particularly foodie. Overall, this is a relative simple scent on me, an especially sweet fig and guava duo.

Fruit fruit fruit.  The guava is the dominant note while wet, but it simmers down quickly. I don't notice vanilla or cream. Just fruity sweetness.

I haven't experienced Dead Leaves, Vanilla Bean, Pink Fig, and Brandied Dates. On my skin, the fig in Just Before Penetration is the same one that's in Fig Vulva.

I'm glad I got a decant, but won't need a bottle.

Delicious! I'm not familiar with guava, to me this is a peachy fig.  Gentle and juicy thanks to the vanilla cream. Nothing sharp or sour. It's a gently sweet scent, not overly sugary. Like sitting in the sun mid-morning in your backyard, temperature is perfect, holding some perfectly ripe fruit where the skin is releasing some of the scent, anticipating how the juices will drip onto the grass with the first bite.

No vanilla cream, but I get lots of tropical, tart guava.  The pink fig, I believe, is adding a warm, peachy tone to the scent along with fig's usual woody, slightly earthy, pulpy scent.  Fades very quickly on me and I was hoping for the vanilla cream to be present, but this is a pleasant, tropical, fruity scent that's tart and lightly sweet.  I will probably keep my decant, but don't need more of this one.  A light, summery, fruity scent.

This scent is so much fun! Bright, juicy, and sweet. Starts off with lots of bright guava and vanilla cream and the fig comes in as dries with a slightly earthier sweetness. This has huge throw on me but doesn't feel overwhelming.

Mmm. Juicy guava backed by possibly the creamiest, softest cloud of vanilla i've smelled yet. The pink fig is i'm guessing the more tart scent in here - it's not like the other fig scents, but reminds me more of a grapefruit (just not as zesty). Super happy, summery, sweet goodness!

ugh SO BEAUTIFUL. absolutely gorgeous. I swear this smells like a bath and body works soap I've used before. it's predominantly guava and sweet cream. the fig and guava both bring a fantastic tartness that brings this scent full circle. a super well rounded creamy fruity scent. definitely a top 3 luper of the 10 imps I ordered from ajevie
