DiZZysTARdust Report post Posted May 6 (edited) this one was a lot fruitier on first sniff than i was expecting. i think it must be the red musk blending with the other notes to kind of take central role in the bottle, which i am very much in love with. ETA after trying this again the fruitiness is definitely the red musk! surprisingly the orris does not come out too strong for me in the bottle or freshly applied, it remains to be seen if it will come out more throughout the wear time. when freshly applied the narcissus seems to be the most dominant note alongside the musk. goes from very red and sweet in the bottle to a more golden, rich floral supported by the red musk. as this dries it becomes a touch more powdery. definitely not in a baby powder but more like dried flowers rather than the fresh narcissus bouquet it is while fresh. maybe that’s the orris coming out more or blending with narcissus. Little Bird Report post Posted May 23 The indigo and crimson musks in this are interesting. Paired with the strong, smoky, dark oud wood, the musks smell more like a black musk infused with purple grape and woodsmoke. The sharp, white floral narcissus gives the scent a hint of department store perfume, but it smells intriguing when it's draped in dark, heavy, velvety musk and black smoke. The overall scent has a dusty/powdery quality to it. I don't know how much I will wear this because I feel like I have better red musks (sweeter, creamier, fruitier) in my collection and the white floral and heavy, black smoke is too dry and sharp for me after a while. theseagrows Report post Posted Saturday at 04:47 AM this opens with the red musk and oud with something kind of woody and slightly nutty. not sure what that is. there is a sweetness from fig but it's not too sweet, at least at the beginning. then i get florals and incense. the ambrette adds a sort of sheer musky quality and is quite strong on me. i think next i get the indigo musk because it definitely has a murky purple thing going on, supported by the incense and fig. i guess i would categorize this as a musky, dusky incense with some florals. the fig never gets too fruity or strong, thankfully. it's mostly musks and ambrette on me. pretty!
