I suspect that the amber oud is adding to the warm woodiness, but I'm not getting distinct notes of that. Behind it is a fresh, almost watery green that brightens it from the bamboo and ti leaf. The crystalized ginger is a wonderful spicy tang of ginger that is the star of the scent dancing on top, and it is the main waft of the scent once on my hair. This is only my second hair gloss, but it will definitely fill a niche with matching many of my scents. Ginger is a prominent note among my scents, and this seems to be coherent with a lot of the other ginger notes, especially since it's somewhere between the earthier and brighter gingers. samanare Report post Posted May 19 Pretty much a ginger single note on me. Ginger is the only note I can pick out. The others combine to give the ginger a very earthy and spicy angle to it. I'm reminded of patchouli or something similar. This is noticeably away from more of a fresh ginger spice and much more towards an earthy, non-foodie spice. roseus Report post Posted June 15 When I first tested this on the back of my hand it was fresh green and fiery, mostly bamboo, ti, cypress, and ginger. The teak and amber came out later. On my hair it is much woodier and richer, more about the teak and amber oud with a aura of fiery ginger and a hint of soft greeness around that. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
