doomsday_disco Report post Posted May 29 A paean to glorious green and glistening horrors: accords of glowering baneberry, belladonna sap, manzanilla de la muerte, and bloodied flytrap fangs.
forspecial_plate Report post Posted June 10 (edited) My bottle is very new, I just got it last week, but I will report my initial feelings about it. : ) To me this smells like the cut stem roses of Rose Red, but maybe not purely rose? I don't know floral scents very well but I feel like there's a hint of something else, like lily of the valley, or baby's breath or something? Is it lilac I'm smelling? I'm just not sure. To me this is like a floral illusion, like Beth took non-floral notes and made an otherworldly floral scent out of them. "Shimmering" comes to mind too. The "green" part is not strong, but it's there if you go looking for it. It's a very smooth green. I don't really smell anything berry-like at all. It's definitely a lighter scent on me and it's mostly gone after a couple hours, except for a skin scent that is so faint it's hard to even describe. It could be the "bloodied flytrap fangs" I'm smelling at this point because I thought to myself "dragon's blood? Is that you?". But it's hard to say. I am happy to reapply, I really like this scent. Edit: I forgot to mention my bottle has a thin dark layer that separates at the bottom, so I turn it upside down and back a few times to mix the layers. (I always do this anyway but this one requires a few more times to mix the layers). Edited June 11 by forspecial_plate
Little Bird Report post Posted July 31 (edited) Goes on like smooth, spa-like bamboo, milky dandelion sap, and hints of green grass and something reminiscent of black pepper. Pulpy green with a bite. The peppery bite disappears after about 15 minutes, though. Reminds me of Kostnice, which I love. Flower Moon 2024 has a creamy, lightly sweet, floral quality in the drydown that makes me think of white lilies (no soap, but the scent of actual lilies). I wasn't sure what to expect from the notes and figured this scent would be challenging to wear, but it's actually a very beautiful, creamy, green touched floral that's easy to wear and soothing. Nothing soapy or sharp. Smells like running through a green field in a sundress with a bouquet of white lilies, as though you're in a Marc Jacobs commercial or an extra in the movie Midsommar, lol.
