Comparing their notes, I see that is most likely due to their shared bourbon vanilla and almond milk/cream. The fig, honey, and mimosa bring a bright and warm sweetness to the table that calms down quickly. When dry, the jasmine sings loudly. The throw is not far, and lasting is not long, yet I am not upset to reapply Obergefell V. Hodges. This is definitely a summer blend in my book, and I am happy with my blind purchase! sudenmorsian Report post Posted September 21 Wet on my skin this reminds me a lot of Delightful Gargantuan Vagina, because mimosa is always loud on me. So, at first this is sweet floral mimosa with a hint of fruitiness. Later the notes balances a bit and I'm getting fig, honey and almond that seems more like almond milk than cream, mimosa is still strong with this one. Jasmine is very, very subtle and in the background. I really can't detect bourbon vanilla at this point. I hope it will get stronger with aging. Definitely a summer/ spring scent. Ennikar Report post Posted October 2 Freshly on, I get wafts of something very mildly citrus-y, something floral, and something distinctly almond-y. The overall impact is a little fruity, but despite the foody notes list, this is very far from a gourmand - or at least, it's more of a "traditional perfume-y" gourmand in that it has aspects of vanilla, almond, fig, and floral honey, but definitely doesn't smell edible. Dries down to a slightly sweet, floral vanilla/almond, just a touch sharp but not quite soapy or powdery. When I got it, I was worried it'd be too "busy" for me and all the nice, pretty notes would blend together in a way that felt nice and pretty but wasn't terribly to my tastes, and that is indeed how I would describe the end result. I'm not sad I tried it, as it's for a good cause and all, but I don't think Obergefell V. Hodges will be sticking around. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
