BPAL Madness!

Five ambers fading in descending radiance.

Dreaming as the Summers Die
Thy home is all around,
Sweet summer child of light and air,
Like God’s own presence, felt, ne’er found,
A Spirit everywhere!

Warm, radiant amber. A little lemony, sweet without cloying. Something almost piney somewhere around the edges.

Do you like amber? Buy this.

At long last, the amber perfume of my dreams!!!

Warm, rich golden amber with that hazy wafting effect. Very evocative of its name. Slowly drying down into a sweet dreamy stage of amber. Damn, this is wonderful!

I primarily get a balsamic amber from this, backed by some deeper ambers (perhaps one of them is the fossilized one?). Ambers I am not getting among the five: the Lab's white amber or sparkling amber.

I'm not digging the balsamic quality of the amber (it's too astringent for my taste), so this one isn't for me.

My decant really benefited from a rest out of the mail. The sharp medicinal quality I got from my initial test calmed down considerably after about a week.

This is a lovely fluttering blend of ambers, moving from honeyed and warm to, yes, almost pine. It has just the barest a hint of rich caramel. This smells like drifting in and out of sleep during a daytime nap with your lover, the bed sheets and your skin warmed by the afternoon sun pouring through your window. Dreamy, comforting, peaceful, and sensual.

Put simply, this is radiant and glorious. Perfect on its own, but I'm sure it will layer beautifully with just about anything. I think this will be gorgeous with age.

A deep balsamic syrupy amber resembling Nyx, Night Goddess; but after it 2-3 hours it gets drier in texture and a bit woodier but still retains a syrupy afterglow.

Warm and soft like candleglow. A round, gentle almost honey-like sweetness. Balsamic, almost woody at times. Something reminds me a bit of Little Wooden Doll. Absolutely lovely.
