doomsday_disco Report post Posted January 17 (edited) I received an imp of this as a freebie in my Yule order. ? Rakshasa Party Magician is all about that spiced amber, which is a deep amber that is also somewhat dry. The cocoa powder was fleeting on me, and the rice pudding just lends a hint of creaminess in the background, so the cotton candy plays the biggest support role here, adding some sweetness behind the spiced amber, although it also is gone by the end of the day, with only the spiced amber remaining after several hours of wear. The amber isn't heavily spiced, if you're worried about that -- I'd say this is a deeper and less spiced amber than the amber featured in The Lion. I'd definitely recommend this more to amber fans than gourmand lovers. Edited January 17 by doomsday_disco
elissamay Report post Posted February 23 (edited) I love this rice note so much! There's only one scent from another indie that I ever went crazy over, and it was because of a rice note. This BPAL rice (also thinking of the awesome rice note in Peach Sticky Rice) is just so delicious and toasty and creamy and perfect. The spice is just right, and there's a little bit of lemony-ness from the amber. I don't really find the cocoa, but if it's a drier cocoa it may just be melding with the spices for me. Sweet but not cloying, and foodie without totally reading fully gourmand. I'm so glad that this is GC! Edited February 23 by elissamay
