Newly-scythed hay and spiced ale.

The Heats of August
When summer opens, I see how fast it matures and fears it will be short; but after the heats of July and August, I am reconciled, like one who has had his swing, to the cool of autumn.
– Ralph Waldo Emerson

Warm and autumnal! Lots of spiced ale, plus the Lab's hay note,  dry and golden. It does feel like a late-summer-edging-into-autumn moment: sun-heated air, lots of golds and browns, a dark brown ale to sip as the sun goes down. No real sweetness except for the little whisper in the hay, the way grasses can be a little earthy-sweet. There's not a distinct booze note as much as just the scent of malty brown beer and some autumn spices, something like nutmeg or allspice.

Good throw, too!

Really lovely!! Very hay-forward on me, it's the same cozy and beautiful hay note that was in A Sheepfold, Moonlight. The spiced ale is just a warm , kinda appley spiced background. On my skin, it's s all about the hay which I'm not mad about.

To me it's fruity (apple-y?) and sweet, with a lot of emphasis on sweet spices.  After a little while I start getting something like... walnut?  I wish I could drink a tea like this.
