Jenjin Report post Posted August 31 (edited) A hypnotic summer reverie: gilded vanilla and coconut milk in a swirl of tuberose, wild jasmine, almond blossom, apricot rind, pomegranate brocade, and crystalline poppy. The Heats of August When summer opens, I see how fast it matures and fears it will be short; but after the heats of July and August, I am reconciled, like one who has had his swing, to the cool of autumn. – Ralph Waldo Emerson Artist - John Anster Fitzgerald Edited August 31 by Jenjin
becca_s Report post Posted October 27 I've had this one for a couple of weeks and have worn it several times before writing a review. The first time I tried this it was like a poppy single note so I let it rest before trying again. The next times that I wore it, it still started out with the poppy note front and centre but the pomegranate and vanilla were there to mellow it out. The floral notes are very much in the background for me and I cannot pick out any coconut milk. The pomegranate and vanilla become stronger during the dry down and balance out the poppy. The gilded vanilla note is very pretty and blends well with the poppy. I think that these notes create a pretty, dreamy scent but there are some notes listed that aren't really making an appearance for me, like the coconut and apricot. For me this is all about the poppy, pomegranate and vanilla. I will be interested to read others reviews on this one.
theredkilt Report post Posted October 29 This is a milky textured fruity floral. I get the pom and apricot rind mingled with the florals which are meticulously blended. I'm thinking of bottling this.
samanare Report post Posted November 6 The various florals and creamier notes combine to make what I could have sworn was an especially smooth orris note. This did not smell particularly floral on me. Instead, I'd describe it as far more of a soft, creamy, more musk than sweet scent. It ended up being a little simple on me, smelling more like an orris or smooth musk single note. The inspiration of soft, inscrutable dreams comes through, but did not end up being very interesting on me.
roseus Report post Posted November 8 Milky textured is a great way to describe this. It ebbs and flows on the skin, at times more fruit-forward and other times more floral. Very creamy, and well-blended. Opalescent.
