BPAL Madness!

Recommended Posts

Sandy shores and sweet fresh water, lichen, green algae, and whitestem pondweed, with benzoin,
hay, cyclamen, moonlit musk, cucumber, blue poppy, driftwood, and agave.

A month of bounty, when the fish are plentiful and the corn grows high. This is the scent of breezes passing over the Great Lakes, mingling gently with traditional lunar herbs.

Here to rave about Sturgeon Moon!

I'm trying to blind-bottle less, but I went for it with this one, knowing it was not bloody likely to work for me. Aquatic is NOT usually my thing - too often strikes me as "fresh" like a bar of Irish Spring soap. But because of superstitious mojo reasons, I did it anyway on a hope it would surprise me and it is a LOVE!!

It's starts with a sweet watery vibe, similar to Sirene Medievale or even The Last Unicorn. Instant love. It dries down to a soft vegetal floral that reminds me of Sunyashniki. Probably the hay & the poppy & driftwood combo? I tried it straight out of the bottle when it arrived yesterday & slathered on more this morning.
It's a perfect end-of-summer scent. Do not fear the aquatic. 🩵💚🤎

This year's Sturgeon Moon does the usual Sturgeon Moon thing in that has a strong scent of soapy dryer sheets, but this one starts off wrapped in a creamy, smooth, blue-green aquatic that is cologne-like.  The drydown has a soft, powdery, almost floral and cotton-ish tone to it.  Bath & Body Works' Sea Island Cotton, a dash of Cool Water, and sharp, soapy dryer sheets.  The soap and dryer sheet thing does get stronger on me over time, and the whole thing lasts about 3-4 hours on my skin.  Definitely a clean laundry type of scent.

Very clean, fresh aquatic and white florals. The musk pushes laundry on my skin at first, but softens a bit as it dries and I get more notes like the cucumber and lichen. A fresh, almost juicy blue-green scent.
