Palatial grandeur in ruins, its decrepit majesty poised in the liminal space between decay and beauty. A haunting memory of all-consuming desire: the rich, earthy depth of oud, vetiver, and moss, grounded in the untamed wilds of the forest, echoing the ancient stones that remain.

Monstrous vegetation breathes a verdant miasma, its exhalations heavy with the weight of countless eons. In the same space, the same breath, the other eye observes a study in boreal archaeology: a drift of dead branches, ancient pine cones, desiccated moss. Tendrils of primordial green intertwine with crumbling stone, suspended in time. Undergrowth, thicket, and canopy exude a vast murky viridescence, revealing a mirror world where forest and ruin reflect endlessly, an unsettling symmetry of growth and decay.

Woody, mossy, green, bitter. The vetiver is dark green, bitter and a little stanky. 

 

There's a stone note in the background, and as the oil sits on my skin the vetiver gets smoky.

I got more of the moss and greenery. The woodsy elements dominate on me, but register to me as a cedar. Reminds me of a very fragrant walk through a deciduous forest, fresh cedar heavy, with a lot of greenery.

Starts out sharply Pine-Sol, and soon mellows to a beautifully layered forest atmosphere, sweet with balsam, airy with cedar and a hint of stone, damp with moss, deep and earthy with vetiver. It's a lively, comforting scent, and I'm very glad I got past that first impression and get to nuzzle in its soft drydown. Medium throw, short longevity.
