So... anybody from the 90s remember B&BW Sun Ripened Raspberries?

 

In the bottle: That sharp raspberry smell that's not "quite right"? More candy-like but not really sugary.  There's something dark and juicy underneath.

 

Wet: This is where it's like a nostalgia trip for B&BW Sun-Ripened Raspberries, which was my favorite.  

 

Dry down:  Softer, darker, still a bit juicy-jam berry-ness. Not B&BW nostalgia anymore (it's for the best).  Still may end up being a bit too sweet for me; even if not sugary, there's something in the jamminess of it that reminds me of lollipops.

I also got B&BW vibes, but for me it was a Very Nice red holiday candle while wet. It got juicier as it dried.

The raspberry and plum notes where the strongest on me. I wasn't able to pick out the blackcurrant on its own, but I wonder if its adding to the tartness of the scent. While this is a raspberry scent more than anything else, the plum is very noticeable. There's also almost a linen quality to this scent I cannot quite place. But overall, a bit more fo a raspberry and plum duo, very tart, red, and juicy.

There's something here that reminds me vaguely of this raspberry lip gloss this little corner store sold at some point in my youth. Which is delightfully nostalgic, not gonna lie (i always liked that scent actually), but there's a bit of an ever so slightly plasticy feel to this when wet. 

There's a vague fieriness in the background, something vaguely spicy(?), but otherwise i'm not detecting anything too spoopy. 

This is pretty strong though, which I'm very happy about - and it becomes more juicy and realistic as it dries down. Sooooooo nice, mmmmm.

There is something about Fuchsia Eyes that reminds me of my beloved Blood Countess. It’s not a dupe or a replacement, but maybe a much younger half-sibling. I definitely smell raspberry here but it’s *evil* raspberry (sorry if that makes more sense in my brain than it does out loud LOL). For a scent where only three notes are named, it is surprisingly complex, and not overtly “fruity” in any notable way despite the scent description. There’s something unexpected and wonderful happening here. What a lovely little surprise.

I definitely got the Sun Ripened Raspberries vibe! But it also smells uncannily like Welch's Sparkling Red Grape Juice, which I am a big fan of. I don't know that I want to smell like it... but! It's wild how much it reminds me of it. Kinda fun in a "Special Occasion/NYE party" kinda way. Throw is crazy good. Even the tiniest dab'll do ya.
