Dead Leaves, Incense Smoke and Oud

Recommended Posts

Imagine you are Mazzy Star circa 1993, but you are also slowly being consumed by the trees. Damp, earthy autumn leaves whisper songs of decay, a slow plume of incense smoke hangs low on the breeze, and the sun drops below the bloody, burning horizon. Rich woody darkness, a tree's shadowy heart, and you, a pile of dust, an endlessly fading chord.

On me this is incense forward with a soft sprinkle of dead leaves and just a little of BPALs sweet oud. It's not fecal or sweaty.

The incense reminds me of the incense in Crimson Peak: Ghosts, though this is softer.

How wearable is it? Does it remind you of any retail fragrances?

@Liquid Sword super wearable. It my new fav bpal lol. It reminds me so much of Flickering lights, fluttering curtains. I love that one and cherish my bottle, but sometimes it's too sweet for me. this is perfect- airy, clean, meditative incense, and just the gentlest touch of something cashmere-like which I assume is the oud. This is a super special one, IMO. :wub:Very angelic, kind of reminds me of imogen heap for some reason. if this had color it would be all hazy blues and purples and greens  will b hoarding...

On my skin it opens up with a sharp oud reminding me of the leather in Assassin or Jareth. I am somehow registering here the oud as leather.

I get no sign of dead leaves or incense smoke, just the type of oud which registers as leather, with a bit of a sour/sharp vibe.
