Hazelluna Report post Posted October 7 In the bottle, this smells just like oranges and candy (perhaps white chocolate). Even though it is citrusy, it still smells kind of like halloween! It smells like oranges with a bag of candy. Applied, the musk really comes out and it smells amazing! Orangey, candied musk! I really like it!
feyofthefellwood Report post Posted October 10 I'm not usually drawn to orange as a note, but I loved the past vintage blow mold scents so I had to get this one. And I *love* it. To my nose, the crystalline amber is different from the plasticky, milky amber of the previous scents. It's lighter and quite ethereal. The white musk is the game gorgeous, gauzy note as in My Soul Aquiesced. The orange note is sweet, not at all sharp or high pitched. It reminds me of those chocolate covered candied orange slices. I don't detect much pumpkin. Maybe there's a hint of it if I really try to find it, but I keep forgetting this has a pumpkin note honestly. This doesn't have much throw, but it lasts forever on me. I put it on one night and could smell it all throughout the next day. It's a backup bottle contender for me, and I'm not even an orange lover.
icecreamcone Report post Posted November 13 (edited) Orange & Creme flavored “Creme Savers” hard candy. There is a soft musk to this, almost vanilla musk! Glad to not be getting the plastic note a few of the other Blow Mold scents have. Likely will upgrade to a bottle but won’t need a backup. aberrantvirtue Report post Posted November 14 Ohmygosh. So, once upon a time there was "House of Mirrors." Part of Carnival Noir, the House of Mirrors smelled sharp and clean, the citrus and amber leaving that almost tingly 'glass cleaner' feeling on its passing. This scent might be the string of lights framing the door of the House of Mirrors. The citrus is softer, but still twinkling brightly in the distorted crystalline reflections. The amber floats around it like a hazy halo, while the musk and pumpkin rind hover in reminder of the Halloween of a loved childhood memory. This is a scent for lengthening nights that chill unseasonably warm days, and the laughter of children who will soon be taller than you.
RoseThornAndOak Report post Posted December 10 (edited) Ooo, in the vial, heavy on the orange, with an ambery glow about it that reminds me of The Grey Columns. It's like if The Grey Columns was oranged and grittied up a bit. Sniffing blind, I would maybe have guessed some unknown citrus, maybe mandarin or some kind of zest, white amber, with something dark that's not quite patchouli, but also not quite dirt thrown in. Maybe some kind of wood. That must be the pumpkin note, dark and slightly tobaccolike (like how pumpkin rind, cinnamon, and tobacco have that dark almost woody, vegetal thing going on but is sweet at once), and a bit spiced in my opinion. There is that milky glow the other blow molds have. The plastic does come out a tad in the later drydown, although some of the other blow molds are moreso. The white amber-like glow sticks around, like an aura around dark spiced pumpkin and a bit of orange glitter. It's really nice. I might grab a bottle before they come down. It totally fits the vibe.
