doomsday_disco Report post Posted October 11 Sweetly diabolical, a mischievous twist on the infernal. Rich butter melts into caramelized sugar, vanilla marshmallow, a delicate touch of cream and milky musk, and the warm, comforting aroma of fresh-baked bread rolls. Please note: this oil contains butter CO2 extract.
Little Bird Report post Posted November 19 A friend brought me a batch of almond cookies studded with cherries this morning. I ate one and then I decided to wear Sacke & Sugar about an hour later, and I was surprised that this scent reminds me of those cookies. I get a lot of sweetness from the sugar and then what smells like fluffy almond cake. I can smell the sharp, sugary cherry of almond extract very strongly. There's a whiff of movie theater popcorn butter for a while, and then it's all fluffy cake drenched in almond extract and sugar syrup. I wanted more cream, milk, marshmallow, butter and bread, as per the description. I'm disappointed that I bought two bottles of this one because almond extract is one of my least favorite scents. VioletChaos Report post Posted November 25 (edited) I got a bottle of this on a lark to travel along with my Griezzell Greedigutt bottles- I hadn't even tested it at NYCC when I had the opportunity but I suspected, based on notes alone, that this would be a keeper, and it sure is! In the bottle, the butter, sugar and cream are all up close and personal and the richness of the blend are practically mouth-watering. HOWEVER, that changed pretty quickly on application, so if you're not a fan of gourmand scents, do not just write this off- you want to skin test before making up your mind. After warming and through full dry-down, the scent morphed a few times in subtle ways until the end result was quite a bit different than where we started, and now I've got a lovely vanilla skin musk that reminds me more of the blossom and less the bean. There's quite a bit of warmth with this scent and I imagine I'll get alot of daytime wear out of this over the next 4 or 5 months of winter weather. This is the scent equivalent of curling up in a soft oversized sweater and reading a book on a snowy day. It's really one of those "comfort in a bottle" kinds of scents. Mid-throw, so dab sparingly until you know how it'll go with your personal chemistry. I anticipate wearing this also to bed, and likely layering this with any scent that feels like it needs more grounding or more sweet warmth. 💗 Edited November 25 by VioletChaos
Poenari Report post Posted Friday at 10:55 PM Testing my decant and was not expecting to really like this, because butter and cream/milk blends do not work on me. Well I'm happy to be wrong here! Initially the butter is there, but it quickly dries down to a rich blend that is quite gourmand, but not in a cloying way. The notes all blend well, and this became a warm skin scent, slightly musky and with a touch of the bread note, very much like the smell of warm bread fresh out of the oven. I'm really glad I decided to get a decant to test!
