ShadowEtienne Report post Posted December 5, 2024 The blood orange is bright and fresh, almost the scent of a blood orange being peeled or sliced. There's a lot of the oils of the zest, a little bit of sweet, tart juice, and a bit of pith balancing out the sweetness. The champagne note brings something bright and sparkling and floaty to this scent. While there's a little bit of sweetness, it balances more towards the sour and tart, for which I am pleased. It's a very fresh scent that I'm enjoying quite a bit. It's definitely in a family with Champagne and Delirium.
doomsday_disco Report post Posted January 8 This duet is more about the champagne than the blood orange. So if you're looking for fizzy champagne lightly infused with blood orange, this is for you. But if you want to be slapped in the face with blood orange (like me), you might be disappointed that this isn't a more intense citrus scent.
frizzlechicken Report post Posted January 9 This is a great scent both on its own and layered. Alone, it's a crisp and light blood orange champagne; the blood orange tempers the usual fizziness of the lab's champagne, but not too much. It's very airy so this would be a nice lightweight oil to wear anytime. Combining it with the regular Harvest Moon oil creates a delicious orange/fall cocktail vibe. I found layering this one changed the Harvest Moon "base" the most - the latter is nice and strong on me, but with the Blood Orange & Champagne layered it actually becomes more subtle. Magic!
