Geminirubyshoes Report post Posted October 21 Hi, yes I am obsessed with this so I need to tell you why. Coconut Cake was the cake my mom used to make for my birthday every year when I was little. Probably until I turned 10 I had coconut cake. The smell and taste of that coconut is forever burned into my brain and I treasure that memory. Snake Oil being one of my favorite BPAL’s (I know, me and almost everyone else 😄), when I saw this listed I immediately bought 2 bottles. I should probably buy 6 more. It’s the rich coconut frosting scent from my childhood birthday memories with the spicy heady vanilla and exotic-ness of Snake Oil. The drydown gets a bit more cakier but there’s not really any deviation from what it is. Just pure, hoarde worthy goodness that also supports an extremely important cause. If you love coconut and you love Snake Oil, your wallet isn’t going to be ok

This... is phenomenal. I hate buying backup bottles, I never ever do it but this.... this I might get a second bottle of. It's coconutty af, drizzled with SO, so it's not too foody. It's perfect. It's great. It's every positive adjective. ✨️ Longevity and throw are also excellent. Possibly my new favorite SO variant. Don't tell my other bbs.
feyofthefellwood Report post Posted October 26 When I first got this I worried it would be too coconutty for me, but after a few days of rest I'm kind of obsessed. It's such a sweet, smooth vanilla that isn't as incensey or "dark" as some Snake Oil variants. A fluffy, cheerful Snake Oil, slightly gourmand and tropical but with that rich vanilla warmth. GoddesShel Report post Posted October 26 Well since I'm addicted to both Snake Oil and Coconut, this was a must have. Wet: ALL the butter Then the spices start to swirl in, and there's the vanilla. Yummmmm. It's like a coconut vanilla spice cake but all grown up and slightly naughty.
Numanoid Report post Posted October 28 Not sure what I can add that hasn't already been said above.... sniffing this is a lovely coconut vanilla Snake Oil. It actually reminds me a little bit of Snow Snake but without the 'snow' note. It has great throw on me. Warms up to a sweet coconut snake oil cake! This is very delicious. rowanhalifax Report post Posted November 22 I really really really wanted to love this one, but I don't think my skin chemistry is playing nice with it. :') It smells absolutely amazing in the bottle & I love vanilla-y, creamy scents, especially when they get mixed with more sexy, headshoppy smells. Then I put it on my skin & it dries... And suddenly it's more Play-Doh than coconut. *weeps* Good thing I like the way Play-Doh smells? Every now & then I get a true whiff of coconut with just a tinge of Snake Oil, but it's extremely fleeting. I'm gonna let my bottle rest a bit longer to see if that helps, but I may have to swap someone for the Berry Sonker variety if it continues to not work out. Or just accept that it's my Play-Doh scent instead haha
Little Bird Report post Posted Friday at 12:12 AM I've had this bottle for over a month now, so it's had time to settle. I don't get any of the Snake Oil at all, and didn't get much SO from Berry Sonker either. This one smells like cardboard, dry and scratchy coconut husk, and a sprinkling of sugar that shows up after a couple hours. By the time it gets creamier and sweeter (about 3 hours in), it's faded to a barely there skin scent. I wanted more cake, frosting, and SO, but it's an oddly dry fragrance to my nose.
