doomsday_disco Report post Posted November 23, 2024 And finally, we’re bottling up some Lemon Chiffon Pumpkin Pie as a reminder that a little silliness, joy, laughter, and sweetness will help sustain us, fortify our spirits, and get us through to the other side. Vaudenilla Report post Posted December 16, 2024 UHHHHHHHHHNNFFNDNFNF! Wowwee! Sorry, I’m not generally one for such lack of decorum but… This baby is strong, and silky, and sweet but not overly so. It’s not heavy on the lemon but the spices and cream are definitely playing in equal parts. I can smell some sort of buttered crust, and the pumpkin isn’t overpowering (my mom owns pinched with four pumpkins and that’s too much pumpkin for me!) I am salivating. I’m so sad a bottle of this is not available for purchase, as it’s a gourmand I really, truly get along with. I hope this only strengthens and deepens with age! Wear time: 4 ish hours (but thats ok because it’s glorious while it lasts.) Sillage: Strong ! But not aggressive.
LavenderCoffee Report post Posted December 22, 2024 Ok so maybe lemon chiffon *does* work with pumpkin pie. The lab's pumpkin spice is usually knocks me on my ass, but here the creamy sweet lemon catches me on a floofy pillow. I don't find myself wearing non-chocolate foodies very often but this is definitely an enjoyable little slice of silliness.
Lunasariel Report post Posted 18 hours ago In the imp: That buttery pie crust note that BPAL does so well hits me first, then sort of omnidirectional baking spices, and then a surprisingly soft and unobtrusive lemon. I'm getting more of a lemon snickerdoodle feeling than lemon chiffon pumpkin pie, but whatever it is, I'm here for it! Wet: Close to the skin, it's much more distinctly pumpkin pie spices with a hint of lemon, and still with that delicious buttery pie crust note. The throw is much more general baked goods. Weirdly enough, the lemon is *much* more noticeable on one wrist than the other. Huh! Dry: Lemony, spiced-but-not-spicy baked goods - not distinctly pumpkin pie, but not distinctly snickerdoodle, either. Predictably, the lemon burns off after an hour or so, leaving pure baking-spices-and-pie-crust goodness.
