The Spiritualist, 8 February 1878

A clandestine assembly of elite ghost-seekers: smoky oud, fiery crimson peppercorn, and wild patchouli swirl in a heady haze, unfolding through plush velvet labdanum, lush plum damask, molten beeswax, and a glimmer of cognac spilled over a cracked quartz sphere.

Wow, no reviews yet! The description for this was too beautiful for me to pass it up plus all the notes are things I like.

Hazy red beams of light casting over velvet couches and high backed chairs. The warmth of melted beeswax dripping into the cognac and the mineralic essence of the quartz sphere. This is gorgeous in every phase.

Smoky oud comes on strong at first, but do not fear! It plays nice. Hazy and red is spot on, courtesy of said oud and the persistent top note of red peppercorn. This is absolutely a dimly lit, velvet upholstered back room with a crystal ball - it's wild. Gotta wait around a bit for the plum and beeswax to manifest, but I am here for it. Paid my 5s, after all. Suuuper curious how this one will settle in over time.

First impression is smoky red musk with a touch of heat. The peppercorn is strong out of the gate but fades back on the skin, it becomes more woody and incensey. The beeswax and red musk offer a slight sweetness. Fully dry the plum peaks out. Hazy is a beautiful word for it.
