My review starts out compromised by chocolate:

the exterior of my bottle smells chocolate-y! There weren't any choccy scents in my order, so I don't know how that happened. Maybe Lick It With Consent is stored near the Chocolate Stout Cupcake or Belgian Chocolate Hair glosses at the lab?  It's a strong enough chocolate scent that when I opened the bottle to sniff, it smelled almost exactly like Junior Mints. I am not complaining about that, lol!  Maybe I will be able to duplicate the effect by spraying half my head with Lick It, and half with Belgian Chocolate.

 

The uncompromised review starts here: the hair gloss does NOT contain a chocolate note. 

Once applied, Lick It With Consent HG is a cloud of peppermint candy cane. This is straight up peppermint candy. As in all the Lick It perfume blends I've tried, there is menthol present, so prepare to be refreshed! My scalp was definitely mentholated.

There's no musky note, unlike my beloved Lick It Like You Mean It.

As with other Lick It perfume blends, the peppermint note doesn't last long on my skin & hair. After 3 hours, I mostly smell sweetness, with the barest hint of mint & vanilla.

 

I need to get a bottle for my son for his birthday before Yules are taken down. He's another Lick It fan.

@Teamama it's not just you! I tested a decant from a circle. My bottle did not smell like chocolate. Sprayed, however, that is definitely mint chip!! It's fantastic! I am a Don't Lick It fan - extra sweet version. I am also a mint chocolate chip fan - my fave flavor! This HG delivered the bracing-but-sweet mint blast plus chocolate rather than vanilla. ADORE! The mint doesn't last too long, as per usual with the Lick It blends, just enough to get a good eye-opening, happy face huff. But that chocolate lingers! Several hours later, I could still smell it when I removed my stocking cap (stupid cold & snowy in the Midwest atm) and made my husband take a sniff. First thing he said? "Mmmmmmm chocolate! Like the GOOD candy chocolate." So, it is confirmed, not just me or you, something here is singing sweet mint chocolate candy, and it's fantastic. Just what I needed to add to my HG collection!
