doomsday_disco Report post Posted December 4, 2024 This perfume is a traditional Roman Catholic sacramental incense, most often used during a Solemn Mass. Traditionally, five tears of this incense, each encased individually in wax that has been fashioned into the shape of a nail, are inserted into the paschal candle. This is, of course, represents the Five Wounds of Our Risen Savior. Symbolically, the burning of the incense signifies spiritual fervor, the fragrance itself inspires virtue, and the rising smoke carries our prayers to God. roseus Report post Posted January 13 Golden resins, warm and glowing. Pretty much identical to the perfume oil to my nose.
Vaudenilla Report post Posted Monday at 03:36 AM This has quickly become my holy grail incense blend. My mom loves "cathedral" but something about the notes in that are a little discordant and screechy to my nose. This, on the other hand is glorious. This does smell exactly like a looming, spooky church. The floors are covered with a plush burgundy carpet, the pews are dark and gleaming. Everything is silent and still- you're not quite sure you feel the Lord's presence, but there's definitely something here. The stained glass windows depict the Crucifixion- and the deep, welling awe inside you crescendos as the ecclesiastical incense is lit, filling the room with thick, sultry smoke. A meditative calm fills you- the ritual of religion sating your soul. I mostly get a deep, resinous incense with a touch of something a little creamy or waxy or perhaps woodsy. I cannot even begin to give a review other than the "vibes" based one I've already provided- this is gorgeously blended. As with all hair-glosses, this makes my hair indecently silky. It's almost a little shameful how much I prefer the texture and detangling properties of BPAL hair-glosses to my Kerastase hair oil. Wear time: A whopping 20 hours. Seriously, this thing sticks around. Maybe that's just the nature of putting perfume in your hair, but WOW. Sillage: STRONG (/pos)
