doomsday_disco Report post Posted December 5, 2024 A slightly more sinister take on our usual Beaver Moon offerings: black cherry and blackberry cheesecake with a smear of chocolate brandy sauce.
Little Bird Report post Posted January 1 This disappears so fast on my skin and I don't smell the blackberry or cheesecake at all. It's all boozy chocolate covered cherry filled with sharp liqueur.
HerbGirl Report post Posted January 1 I have been wearing this a lot since it arrived and I love it. I was wary of the cheesecake but, it's just not there. The chocolate covered cherry is epic, and dries down to a musky version of its initial self, which I love. It smells exceptionally good on sweatshirt sleeves! The chocolate seems like a nice cookie type chocolate to me, a bit dusty, which reminds me of meringue cookies from my childhood. The initial phase lasts about an hour on me and the afterglow lasts another three or so. I love this.
white_jenna63 Report post Posted January 4 I'd forgotten what notes this year's was, so it was a surprise. It was a blast of cheesecake while wet, and that was gone within seconds, never to return. What remains is a dark cherry berry covered in a dark dry chocolate. This is giving me Luper box o' chocolates vibes. Very glad I took a chance on it! I can still smell it seven hours later, after a very small testing application. Minimal throw with said application.
doomsday_disco Report post Posted January 8 This is mostly about the black cherry and chocolate brandy sauce with some creaminess that is probably meant to be the cheesecake note, but isn't outright cheesecake like the matcha cheesecake Beaver Moon. I'll probably retest this before it goes away, but right now, I wish it were less boozy. Of the two cherry scents that are currently available, I prefer Black Cherry Sufganiyot for my cherry fix. miss_rynn Report post Posted 15 hours ago Holy scent memory, Batman! When I was young we lived in Dubai for a few years. Most of the expats there were English, and I was introduced to, what I believed at the time, was the Holy Grail of Icecream: raspberry ripple. That's not to say that it smells like raspberry or icecream, but it had that same magical melding of slightly tart red fruit with creamy vanilla. On the skin it blooms to me more of cherry sauce with digestive biscuit base, which work really well together, but the creamy note dies down very quickly. I love foody perfumes, but I like this because it feels more work friendly. A slightly perfumey cherry (not medicinal or artificial cherry), with a grounding of a crushed whole wheat biscuit base that is juuuuust tempered enough to feel domestic without screaming bakery.
