Not getting the candyfloss but lots of clove and some musk which is somehow going musty/tobacco-ey on me. This is fresh out of the box so may need some time to mellow before I try it again! ETA ended up rehoming this before I could retest. I was looking for something less complex and more cotton candy/sweet, sadly.... The ruby chocolate is both rich and tart, and every note is present: the candyfloss is fluffy, the vanilla/musk is warm and sweet. The description fits very well, as the clove is just a hint--and I'm glad for it because I love clove but it can dominate. The ruby chocolate note binds everything together in a way that makes it much more than just another vanilla/sugar/musk scent, and I really love it. The reviewer above mentioned something tobacco-y, and I can get that, but I think it's just that tart/rich combo from the ruby chocolate. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

It almost reminds me of the 'chord' note I mentioned in To A Wreath Of Snow (re-release) but with a sweet vanilla musk... yeah I'm loving it Edited to add: I wrote this in my car driving away from the post office and I stand by it! I don’t really detect any clove which is surprising as clove tends to be pretty prominent no matter what it gets used in. I agree that there is a bit of a tartness to the ruby chocolate, it’s really interesting and different from anything else that I have! The ruby chocolate from Millennial Pink dominates the scent but as it warms on my skin there's a poof of sweet, sheer vanilla and a perfect kiss of warm clove. As with MP the light musk prevents this from being totally foodie. I'm ready to flop over on my back and waggle-roll in it like a doggo finding a stinky spot in the yard. I tend to avoid chocolate or cocoa or cacao notes on me. This is so subtle that it's just a grounding note well after dry down. It's not foodie but is a sweeter vanilla scent than I usually wear. We all know those models actually smelled like hairspray, stress sweat, and fake tan, but this is that vibe. The scent of a coquettish, cheeky model winking and flouncing her curls while she struts around in fur-trimmed pink undies and angel wings, carrying a comically oversized teddy bear or something- but don’t be fooled. She bites. I’m absolutely obsessed with this. It’s a light enough gourmand that it doesn’t turn the stomach, and the extra little kick of clove warms and spices the hazy, sweet cloud. The musk is definitely what’s reading so sexy to me, but the playful cotton candy aspect really balances it out. I can’t understate to you how incredible this is, lol. I might have to just bite the $50 bullet and get two more bottles to hoard, because it’s just that good. Wear time: 9 hours!!! Sillage: strong, but not aggressive. doomsday_disco Report post Posted yesterday at 05:06 PM This is mostly about the ruby chocolate on me, the same one from Millennial Pink, which starts off as like a white chocolate infused with raspberry, but gets creamier, less chocolate-y, and more fruity over time, so that it is more like a raspberry Mamba candy, or some raspberry yogurt. That notes dominates on me throughout wear, backed by some pink candyfloss and slightly smoky clove (which is more noticeable during the first few hours of wear than later on). Although I can't pick out the vanilla from the musk, these notes end up resting on a bed of musk by the end of the day. I like this, but I'm not sure it is something I need a whole bottle of... so I'll have to try it again and then make a decision. But I'm definitely keeping the coin!
