Vanilla cream engulfed in dark, lush mosses, balsamic woods, and deep green incense tar.

Oooh yessss. This is what I was hoping to get from The Storm, but rainy/watery notes tend to go off the rails on me. But this! ♡♡♡ Luxe mossy foresty goodness under a veil of vanilla cream. It smells clean and fresh without being too grassy-green or cologne. The incense tar is dark green backdrop that lurks around the edges, matching the vibe of the art perfectly. I smell like a dryad fresh from a day of pampering at the magical forest spa and I am deeply in love with this.

Objectively speaking, this *is* absolutely lovely, as OxfordComma says--especially in the wet stage with that rich vanilla cream and jungly greenness. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be reaching for it much, because especially on the drydown it's reminding me strongly of Umlaut (the Mütter Museum perfume). I assume it's the balsamic woods and vanilla combination. Through no fault of its own, then, it ends up giving me creepy Victorian corpse museum vibes by association. Perhaps it's the curator's creepy Victorian greenhouse out back. Anyway, if you like this, you might also like Ü, and vice versa!

I got this to see how it compared to The Storm with its vanilla and mosses. Well, this is nothing like The Storm, which I prefer as far as vanilla and mosses go, but someone looking for a deep, mossy incense blend touched with balsamic woods should appreciate this one. I was really hoping for lots of vanilla cream to go along with those notes, but it was not a main player on me (although sometimes I find the scent just needs a little age for the vanilla to peek out).

For the first couple hours of wear, I amp the incense and basalmic notes in this one, which completely overpower the vanilla. However, when it dries down it becomes a lovely dark, creamy vanilla with dark green moss that I really enjoy. I like wearing it to sleep and smelling the pretty dry-down in the morning.

This is much fresher and brighter in the imp than I had anticipated. On the skin I get the darker green mossy and woody notes I expected, shot through with just a bit of brightness like sun-dappled woods. As it settles I get the gorgeous creamy vanilla and incense rounding everything out.
