LePopPathetique Report post Posted January 29 (edited) Hi everyone, I am looking for a scent that will sort of match my mood, but as options are so many I'm sort of lost on what to chose. So even tho I'm a guy, I'm looking for something fairly feminine, funerary, flowery, very melancholic and to have lilac in it, as its my most favorite scent ever. I'm going for something dark and vintage and to have that graveyard feel lol Thanks in advance, A. Edited January 29 by LePopPathetique Share this post Link to post
ShadowEtienne Report post Posted January 29 In the General Catalogue (so you can get imps and see if you like them first), there are some really lovely lilac scents! It sort of depends on what other notes you might like with them. The one that immediately came to mind with this description was Les Fleurs du Mal (The scents of the blossoms of darkness, condensed into one perfume. Features a rose base, softened with lilac and wisteria). The three florals in it are really well balanced. You also might want to check out some of the scents in The Last Unicorn collection (Lady Amalthea, The Last Unicorn, The Lilac Wood), which are ongoing collections but not available as imps. Assimbya Report post Posted January 30 I would second the recommendation for Les Fleurs du Mal! It has a pale, melancholy feel that may be what you're looking for. I have also been loving Eusapia from this year's Yules, which I have found to be a beautiful, true lilac. Perhaps not as funereal, but very lovely. Share this post Link to post

Failmingo Report post Posted January 30 As someone who shares these tastes, I would definitely grab Dead Leaves, Dried Lilacs, and Labdanum from the Halloween collection before it sails away. Share this post Link to post
patina Report post Posted Sunday at 08:55 PM Silenti (VILF) absolutely captures a funeral feel. Share this post Link to post
Lucchesa Report post Posted yesterday at 04:23 AM Winter Night Figure on the Bridge from the Yules a couple years ago would scratch that itch if the mood recurs. Indigo musk, blackened lilac, wild plum rind, opium tar, tobacco flower, and snow. So gorgeous. Share this post Link to post
