roseus Report post Posted March 6 In the imp I get mostly crisp green tea white musk. On my skin the earl grey comes out, as do the florals. More honeysuckle than rose on me. It's bright and breezy, a gorgeous springtime blend.
doomsday_disco Report post Posted April 2 (edited) This is a sparkling floral tea blend. The Earl Grey note reads more like the Lab's lemony white tea with bergamot. There's no black tea or matcha to be found. I get the pink rose and honeysuckle (more rose than honeysuckle on my skin) along with the tea note, swirled with the white musk, which adds to the sparkly, perfume-y feel of the scent, and just a touch of blackcurrant. I'd put this in the same family as scents like Butterflies, Flowers, and Jewels Attending. I'm a little sad that I wasn't able to detect any matcha here, but I do think this is pretty, nevertheless! I agree that this will be perfect for spring and will be hanging onto my decant. Edited April 2 by doomsday_disco
Assimbya Report post Posted April 4 (edited) Definitely agree with @doomsday_disco that this reads like the Lab's white tea - it reminds me very much of the tea note in Maiden. On me it's quite citrus, but not in a way that feels distinctly identifiable as bergamot. The florals likewise are quite indistinct and very dry on me, mixing with the matcha, and I think also the sandalwood and white musk into something that feels more like dried, powered petals mixed with tea. I don't get any distinguishable blackcurrant. As with Maiden, I think this is a case where my skin chemistry has led me astray - as a whole this is very astringent and powdery, rather than the happy springtime floral I was hoping for, even though these notes are largely ones I adore. I think it would work better on me with some sweetness or a lactonic note to cut through the sharpness, which I'm learning is what I really sort of need with tea scents (and maybe that's fitting, since I always do drink my tea with milk and sugar!). I'll retest my decant a few times as I'm not ready to give up on this quite yet, but unfortunately I don't think it's going to be for me despite loving the idea of it. OxfordComma Report post Posted Monday at 01:31 AM I can definitely see the white tea comparison, but white tea goes very shrill on me often and this fortunately does not. This is such a pretty floral earl grey tea scent though, omg. It smells like those gorgeous loose leaf blends with loads of flower petals and dried fruit in them. The bergamot is really gorgeous here, but I'm a bit partial to it as a note so ymmv on that lol. Honeysuckle is often very loud and kinda laundry on me but here it's playing very nicely. Gosh this is so pretty. This whole series is killing me, I've liked or loved every single one. 💀 Throw is surprisingly good on this one, but it dries down quieter after an hour or so. Overall medium throw and longevity so far, but it's so pretty I am willing to reapply nonstop if needed lol
