I need to preface this:  I have only had this on for a short time, and it arrived just today in my mailbox.  

 

But this is STUNNING!!!  I suspect this is going to be very popular.  It's gorgeously, luxuriously, decadently sweet and fairly potent, with all of the notes present (but no leather, in case anyone is worried, and I don't really get any smokiness from the cardamom).   The sugared amber is similar to that in Alleviate the Frenzy.  The notes together create a scent that is warm, seductive, and rich.  

 

Backup bottle worthy for me!!!

Unequivocally delicious. The orchid is subdued by an addictive sweetness that you can practically taste. Amber and vanilla are so harmonious in this blend that you can't tell where one ends and the other begins. This smells incredible in the bottle and even better on skin!! Perfectly balanced with moderate projection and great longevity.

I wore Dahlia yesterday without checking the notes and definitely get the vanilla, amber, and slight cardamom. After an hour, it strongly reminded me of Ambra del Nepal (one of my all time favorite perfumes). Gorgeous amber incense, a very smooth and creamy and not overly sweet vanilla, and a dash of mellow spice. It's hoard-worthy.

Initially what I got was a big blast of sugared cardamom spice, which reminded me of Constellation (which is a blast of sugared clove both in the bottle and on my skin). I was a little nervous so I only wore a drop. After a minute or two though, my nose felt like it was in a cocktail party full of sexy, amazing-smelling ladies. I'm getting whiffs of the poofy vanilla and seductive sugared amber. Gorgeous and beautifully balanced and very wearable. I quickly slathered more 😄 

 

I get the hype train for Dahlia, and I'm on board! +1 agree with all the other reviews; this is going to be very popular.

lusciously sticky-sweet vanillic amber, dusty yet kicky cardamom, and a dry, vanillic linen.  think amber & cardamom meets antique lace, with the volume kicked up on both.

 

going into this, i was wary of the orchid and the smoke... but honestly i detect neither.   this is absolutely stellar.

In the imp this is reminding me strongly of Antique Lace Resurrected, a sweet floaty vanilla but overtop a sticky amber and cardamom base (the vanilla-cardamom combo is also recalling Perfectly Normal Childhood but less buttercreamy more grownup). On my skin it is slightly less sweet, more toothsome. I get more orchid and a touch of smoke. Addictive! Absolutely incredible and a definite bottle upgrade in the future.

If you liked Mama Ji but can't stand supporting NG, I get the same vibes from Dahlia. A sourness from the floral + cardamom combo from them both seems similar to me. This is also a more feminine amber, but has some similarities to Haunted. And the vanilla is the Antique Lace vanilla variety, but it's light. This is a cardamom and floral scent, with vanilla whispering in the background.
