doomsday_disco Report post Posted February 5 Lady of the Unicorn skull – queens escape to majestic mountain air, lace parasol and riding gloves in hand, corseted and bustled, heart filled with longing. An early 19th-century Italian perfume dabbed on black satin and lace – magnolia blossoms, lilac, orris root, and ambergris accord.
SmellsPrettyGood2Me Report post Posted February 16 (edited) This was an atypical buy for me as I rarely grab a floral! But the label art here was just too beautiful and I had to give it a try. In the bottle, the magnolia and lilac are fighting each other for dominance, with a wet greenness backing them up. On skin, the transformation is remarkable; I can literally smell the flowers being diffused on black satin with a hint of lace. Wearing this I am a young widow walking down a street in St Augustine, FL, mourning the husband who, before he drowned crossing the ocean, used to bring me perfume from Europe as a token of his affection. Incredibly well crafted. Edited February 16 by SmellsPrettyGood2Me
MonBon Report post Posted February 26 Dreamy lilac & creamy magnolia! The daintiest romantic Victoriana vibes, pretty as a portrait. A magical spring deity has graced your presence, this is what Lorrainna radiates. Probably my fave lilac I've ever tried, ethereal to the max. Impressive longevity 7+ hrs, medium throw. 💜 absolutely delightful!
roseus Report post Posted March 12 In the imp I get almost equal magnolia and lilac, but on my skin it is definitely more about the lilac. Waxy, cool, dainty. A touch of warm muskiness from the ambergris.
