doomsday_disco Report post Posted February 5 Lady of the mythical bird Roc – feathers plucked from her hair, spoken spells and hooka smoke, card readings and watching through the mirror. Honeyed hookah tobacco, spiced and dried dark fruits, smoked molasses, and champaca absolute.
MonBon Report post Posted February 26 The magnolia champaca smells clean, yet sensual but there's an undercurrent here of pure magnetic power. I am entranced 🪶 I thought this one was okay when I tested the full collection, but now she's shot up to fave-town. Forgive me Ravenna, I almost overlooked your charms! This is a creamy champaca powerhouse, heady and spiced just right to alter something in my brain chemistry, it's hypnotic. Despite listing smoked molasses, it is not super sweet. The dried fruits are incredibly subtle, a well-balanced skin scent I unequivocally need more of. Wearing Ravenna makes me feel resplendent, otherworldly, surreal. Longevity tbd (I keep falling asleep to it, will edit once I have data).
bheansidhe Report post Posted March 27 Heavy, sultry, commanding; distinctly kin to Follow Me Boy, while utterly disinterested in bewitching a man; that's just a casual side effect of this potion. It does stay low on the skin, so you have to be within striking range, but it covers the skin like an occlusive velvet cloak.
OxfordComma Report post Posted April 6 Definitely champaca forward, as mentioned, but what a beautiful champaca. The honeyed tobacco and spiced fruits rounds it out, makes it feel fuller and more robust. It reminds me of another indie favorite, but with better longevity and throw. Although she's not as much of a powerhouse as some of the other SM ladies, longevity seems solid so far. I'm really loving this whole series tbh, but I love cozy incense smells and this one is real good.
Tamarinda Report post Posted Thursday at 09:40 AM In the decant: Incence, which is how I register champaca. Wet: Fruity incense. This is promising. Dry: My decants are only a few days rested so this will probably change some, but so far I'm getting fruity incense. Just slightly sweet. Thankfully no sign of molasses, which usually smells awful on me, and unfortunately, I'm not recognizing any tobacco. This gives me medium projection and a minimum of eight hours wear time. I tested this at night and showered before it could fade away. This is great so far, but I'll give it another two weeks to see if the molasses rears its ugly head.
