MayQueen Report post Posted March 17 I really wanted to love this. It smells amazing in the bottle, very fresh and floral, but it has this powdery dry down that reminds me of old lady perfume that's been spritzed too strong. So bummed.
nikaida Report post Posted April 1 (edited) I’m loving this a lot! Updating as promised based on 4 total day-long wears with a bottle under 1 month old. I am getting fresh callas with a little bit of green bite to them (in the best way! A friend described it as “the spicy thing that some lily type scents can do”) and then only the coolest, freshest lilacs in the background. I don’t know peony well but I do know that it really is “peony milk” because there’s something a bit sweet and creamy in the background that is absolutely lovely here. Do I get any powder? Just a tiiiny bit, but not vintage or baby powder. (I like these kinds of profiles so would still be happy if I did!). This perfume dies down to a pink, creamy, cool, gently sweet scent! I feel like a wind-up music box ballerina when I wear this. Delicate, pastel-pink, and lightly floral-sweet. Very spring, VERY lovely, excited to wear this one through the springtime and then next winter when I need to pretend it’s a different season!! tarotgirl99 Report post Posted April 3 (edited) When I first apply this, it smells just like freshly cut flowers. Amazing, but my nose quivers like I’m gonna sneeze. On drydown, the soapiness overwhelms. Sillage is super-intense. Had to remove it. Edited April 3 by tarotgirl99
Assimbya Report post Posted April 6 When this goes on I get a splash of bright blue lilac, with calla lilies supporting and just a hint of green tea - it's a very fresh, cool, clean floral and I like it a lot at this stage. As it dries down the peony milk becomes more and more prominent until the lilac and calla lilies have basically vanished - the peony milk is very pink and green scent, creamy and sweet. It's pleasant, but as the other florals vanish it starts to feel sort of cloying on me, and I really miss the freshness of its wet stage. This reinforced for me how much I love lilac, but this is unfortunately not the scent in which I'm going to get to really appreciate them.
becca_s Report post Posted Wednesday at 09:15 AM (edited) On my skin this starts out with Calla Lily and lilac leading the way. After this settles into my skin I get hints of the green tea and peony milk. The peony milk note is very pretty (I'd love to see this note pop up again) but it stays in the background here. I can pick out all the notes in this scent but I would say that this leans towards being more floral on my skin than a tea scent. For me the lily is the strongest of the floral notes. I would describe it as a fresh, floral scent. The peony milk adds a softness to this scent and green tea gives it that fresh vibe. I really like the stage where the peony and green tea join the party, they really add something unique and give depth to the floral notes. ETA - I've been wearing this for a few days and I love it. Smells like soft peonies and lily's, very elegant. Edited yesterday at 04:25 AM by becca_s
