In The Bottle: A supremely delicate waft of whispering strawberry milk.

Wet On Skin: Same...but with something that smells delightfully like fresh watermelon that I am assuming is the lotus. It's also as delicate and whisper-y as the strawberry milk.

Dry Down: A teeeeeny bit of spice, which I definitely attribute to  the carnation has joined the duo to make a lovely trio! 

Later: The iris has finally, finally revealed itself, and has added a bit of a candy-sweetness to the proceedings, actually 😮 

In All: I cannot overemphasize how delicate, quiet and low-throw this scent is. Although the combo of notes consists mostly of gourmand items, I would not call this a "foodie" scent by any means, though I find this scent fits into a larger theme that spans the Shungas over many years- a lovely combination of florals and foods that create singular affections (*not* CONfections!) that speak to the beauty of the artworks and this transitional time of year from late winter into early spring ❤️ 💮

Floral strawberry milk. It reminds me of Pink Moon but without the more lactonic tang that one had, and with addition of velvety soft florals. It has a cosmetics bend to it, but as if your cold cream was strawberry milk scented. It manages to not read as inherently tweeny or kawaii, although I think it could work for those, but a more...grown up strawberry? A fancy locally sourced strawberry milk pudding sprinkled with dried flower petals, foodie yet not? It's pretty and I like it a lot, is what I'm getting at lol. I could see it being a good year-round strawberry scent.  Decent throw and wear length for me.

Oh, this is great on first sniff. Carnation, my favorite! I see you. It’s melding very well with the other florals and the lotus, which is so green and gentle. It’s giving off the impression of very warm but green wood. It’s almost watery on me, in the best way, because typically aquatics are too floral on my skin, so I am loving the vision it’s evoking.i’m not getting any strawberry creaminess now, but I have faith it’ll come through as it ages and settles. 

 

This is a classic shunga scent: if you have ever loved a shunga bpal, you may know what I mean - it’s a clean, creamy, springtime scent experience that gives a playful, bright floral hint, while still being so sensual in its composition as an oil. I really like this one, and may need to full size.
