khazakant Report post Posted March 15 I was most looking forward to this one, the Vulvas are always fun. So, I open the bottle and smear some on and get hit with the strawberries first. Gigantic, teenage-girl confection of a fruity floral. I figured if I waited a minute it would settle down, and it did, with the amber coming out and granting more moderation and maturity to the fragrance. It's got very good sillage, in general, BPAL has gotten better about making fragrances with good throw in recent years. As it dries down, the "blush marshmallow" really comes out and the fruitiness takes a backseat, although it doesn't go away entirely, just falls back into the kind of smooth, creamy, well-rounded thing you'd expect from one of BPAL's Vulvas. picturesofmeghan Report post Posted March 23 this is already a favorite. i did let the bottles rest a bit, but i’ve worn this one a few times already. it’s creamy, soft, fruity, and tangy. the strawberry is in the forefront, cherry blossom cream is in the background & all settles into the marshmallow
doomsday_disco Report post Posted April 2 (edited) I tested this once and then slathered it another day as my scent of the day. In both instances, the pink strawberries and cherry blossom cream were the stars of the show, with more strawberry than cherry blossom, backed by the white amber and what must be the blush marshmallow. The cream went buttery on me during my first test of the scent, but somehow didn't do that when I slathered it for a full-day of wear. The white amber in this is the same as the one featured in Hohensalzburg Fortress and Schönperchten. Despite there being cherry blossom cream here and Reflected Vulva having cherry blossom and sugared cream in its notes, the two don't smell similar. I don't get anything distinctly marshmallow on my skin like the glorious marshmallow from La Dame Aux Pamplemousses, but at least I'm not getting anything like the marshmallow in Pink Moon: Marshmallow and Candyfloss Hair Gloss or the funky marshmallow froth from Fairy Lobster Foam. I mean, I'm sure the blush marshmallow is there doing something, but it just doesn't play as big of a role on my skin as it does for the other reviewers -- I think I seem to have gotten way more amber with the strawberries and cherry blossom cream. Although I would have liked the cherry blossom to be the strongest note here, I do think this is pretty and will happily reach for it during the spring months. Hair glosses I'd pair this with: Party Tricks and Kamisuki. Edited April 2 by doomsday_disco
becca_s Report post Posted April 9 This is all cherry blossom and strawberries on my skin. It's very soft, pink and pretty. It reminds me a bit of Pink Moon 2023. So far, I don't get any marshmallow or cream notes, or at least they are not making an appearance yet. I only received this a couple of days ago so perhaps after resting from mail shock those notes will show up. Overall, though this scent smells like soft blossoms and freshly picked strawberries. It's perfect for spring
Little Bird Report post Posted April 15 The whole time that I was wearing this, I kept imagining an anime girly with pink hair, in a dress of hot pink ruffles, with a personality and voice that's high pitched, happy, and always full of energy. It smells like cherry flavored sweet tarts candy, sweet strawberry scented shampoo, and a beautiful mix of cream, blossoms, marshmallow, and a hint of powdery amber. It's a very pretty swirl of all the listed notes. The fruity parts are strongest on me. The marshmallow isn't super strong but it is present on me throughout hours of wear. Overall, this is a really appealing mix of tart, creamy, clean, and sweet. Maybe a little too fruity-sweet for me, but I did enjoy it when I wore it, even if it didn't feel like a 'me' scent. I'm not high energy; I'm anemic and have fibro, lol. I'll definitely keep my decant and retest this and consider a full bottle, though.
Alethia Report post Posted April 16 This is the epitome of girl perfume to me: it’s sweet (not gourmand or cloying) and smells pink and pretty. Strawberry can sometimes be unbearably loud on my skin, but everything here is so well blended that I just get this pink, sweet, girly smell. This is what I wanted Pink Moon 2024 to be! Not a bottle purchase for me but I’m glad to have tried it.
Leopard403 Report post Posted April 16 (edited) Full disclosure: I do not like cherry blossom as a scent note. For me it’s somehow entirely antithetical; it’s delicate in such an overt way it’s almost aggressive with it, which is just weird and f*cking confusing. But then, dammit, this blend comes along with other notes that sound so delightful I have to try it. I’m glad I took a chance because that “blush marshmallow” note is ridiculously good, and the cherry blossom note is top-only so it’s gone from the skin in a second. Sadly, with the amber alongside, those strawberries turn a little too shortcake doll on me after about ten minutes of wear. Verdict: Can we get a Blush Marshmallow single note/duet?
