OxfordComma Report post Posted March 18 (edited) This is so pretty and sunshiney. Like a golden sunbeam on a perfect, sunny, not-too-hot day. Sweetened citrus-y orange blossom floating over a very friendly patchouli. The floral notes leaned towards laundry for a bit, without tipping into full dryer sheet territory on me, but I honestly fuck with it. Just adds to the breezy summer day vibe imo. Throw was really good and it lasted several hours until I showered. I could see this being fantastic for spring or summer when it's not so horrifically humid. ETA: This has become even more dreamy imo. The notes have melded together more, and it's still has that clean vibe I usually get from honeysuckle, so I'm guessing it's the yellow tobacco flower? Regardless, it's smoother and more rounded now. It reminds me of Alphonse Mucha's Topaz or maybe Autumn. One of the ones that's done almost entirely in shades of golden yellow. I wore it yesterday and my husband commented that "Whatever you're wearing today is extra nice". (He always thinks I smell nice, just in varying degrees lol) He's not a fan of typical laundry scents or patchouli, so I was kinda surprised but I think this one is a 'greater than the sum of it's parts' deal. ♡ Edited March 28 by OxfordComma

brwnpaperhag Report post Posted April 7 The opening of this is so interesting! I get the bright, clean, citrusy notes, but it is layered with a deep, almost smoky undercurrent - I’m thinking this is the tobacco flower. It’s a very dry, deep tone, and feels almost dissonant to the citrus, but I love the chaos it is giving my nose. as it drys, it takes on a warmer, close-to-the-skin feel, and this scent feels familiar to me too, thought I can’t say what’s given me this experience before. A couple minutes in, I have to say, the orange blossom + tobacco flower is becoming almost too much, the clash is really hard for me to feel good about. The wafts I get from my wrist are: a second of a green tea-like freshness, followed by a second of…dust? Like it starts clean and floral, but then finishes mature and heavy. I just looked up tobacco flower and I’m getting info that it’s a powdery floral, which I definitely feel here. The inhale and then settling into the scent is just morphs so much. I’m also getting honeysuckle vibes from this now, which isn’t my favorite. I will need to see how this ages. I keep huffing, because I think I like the fact that the scent isn’t the same through the whole inhale, but is it love? I don’t know. Right now, I get no patchouli, and no sugary help either. I am confident it will peek out in a bit, and while I would be interested in maybe 2 mls, I don’t know if I would get a whole bottle right now.
flumphlord Report post Posted April 7 I'm normally very much not a floral person, but orange blossom and tobacco flower are exceptions I can genuinely enjoy sometimes. I've actually been going through an orange blossom phase lately, so I thought I'd give this one a shot. In the vial: Mostly tobacco flower, though the orange blossom is present as well. Wet on skin: Tobacco flower, orange blossom, and a very gentle patchouli, in that order of prominence, pervaded by a sugary sweetness. I don't really get any caramel note--this is unadulturated table sugar, to to point that it borders on gourmand when it first goes on. This quickly fades into a more purely floral experience, though. Warm, soft, and clean. Dry: This scent is very linear, which isn't a bad thing in my book. I'm a fan of all these notes, and I like that they stay well-balanced throughout. Post-workout: Maybe the patchouli is a little too gentle. This doesn't hold up to my natural odor as well as I'd hoped, though it's not terrible by any means. The main thing holding me back from making a full size purchase is that I already own a fair number of clean, citrusy fragrances. I don't know how often I would realistically reach for this over my existing options. If this were general catalog, I'd let this decant age awhile and revisit it down the line to see if it goes somewhere interesting. But since it's not GC, I'm content letting this one go. kittystryker Report post Posted April 8 I get a lot of orange blossom from this, with some tobacco flower, and a sweetness that rounds it off. I really like this, it's sweet and floral but it doesn't ping my sinuses the way some florals do. The citrus especially makes me think of the end of winter in California. And that orange blossom lingers really nicely.
Little Bird Report post Posted 18 hours ago A weak whiff of orange bossom sharpened by a sour tobacco flower note, and then it's all patchouli. Patchouli amps up on me (which is usually great because I love patchouli), but I'm not loving the patchouli in this. I could wear Banshee Beat all day every day for the rest of my life, but I was disappointed in the sugared patchouli in Silky Bat, and I don't like it here either. It starts off oddly rubbery smelling and then dries down sort of dank and moldy. I was hoping for more caramel and orange blossom than this delivers.
