MamaMoth Report post Posted Monday at 09:42 PM when it's first applied, this reminds me a bit of kobold barista... there's definitely some spice in that rosenkuchen. it's a nice earthy spiced coffee, and everything is smoothed over by just a hint of a creamy (but not lactic) note. if pressed, i'd say there was something non-foody grounding it in the base, but couldn't really suss it out on it's own. upon application, i pronounced it pleasant enough, and went about my business. but after an hour or two, i kept getting whiffs of something different. what i found is that the coffee and spice roar out of the gate, then die down to let the amber musk surge forward. and friends, i am here to report that this stage right here is the absolute business. tawny, musky, spiced amber with whisps of dry earthy coffee weaving through it. its gorgeous! bheansidhe Report post Posted 13 hours ago AAAHHH, THIS IS SO GOOD, THIS IS SO GOOD it's .. gingersnaps? Peppery crispy gingersnaps, butter, a little waft of coffee steam, and something I can't name but makes me want to drag my waffles through it, and then my whole entire butt. Why the hell did I type that? What unhinged review is this? I'm snorting my arm like a truffle pig. What am I smelling? Oh, there's the musky component, and the cream, and the spices, and the amber, and now the gingersnaps are something much closer to the magical sweet buttery dough note in Lavender Lussekatter, sans lavender. Rosenkuchen apparently has rum, poppy seeds, almonds, and/or raisins, depending on the recipe, and now I'm getting a German bakery vibe, but primarily? It smells like angelic pastries for breakfast and MAGIC.
