Rspades Report post Posted July 6, 2023 Mmm this is the Jasmine that I like. The fresh kind that’s also in the poinsettia gown. Not getting any plum. Such a lovely fresh scent with a present but not overwhelming floral. Smells like you stuck your arm into a beautiful garden in springtime. Definitely need to full size! regretroulette Report post Posted January 2 My very first bottle pick from BPAL. It's a nice, clean and refreshing floral, it definitely has a bit of sweetly humid and juicy quality to it. This I attribute to that plum note. The daffodil comes through wonderfully, and gives this blend more of a fresh cut wildflower kick, at least to me, rather than a well trimmed and curated (western) garden. I've had my bottle for only about a month now, but the scent hasn't varied much since it initially settled from shipping. Works for me! we'll see how it fares as time wears on. This isn't a scent that evolves much on the skin for me, although the plum does fade a little faster than the rest... I'm only just getting into BPAL, but the community is great fun, and this bottle was a fantastic introduction for me to the company! I've got more coming, so I'm looking forward to writing up more about the scents that make a lasting impression. I can definitely see myself repurchasing this one once it begins to run out. I dumped 1ml into a travel bottle, which may have been a mistake, as I often find myself mindlessly habitually reapplying it, and it's starting to disappear! aaaaahhh! gentle-twig Report post Posted December 4 In quick succession: plum, orchid, musk, and jasmine. pale, crisp, green. The plum is less juicy than other BLAL scents, almost unripe. Gradually the heady daffodil emerges but then disappears all too quickly. I agree that the floral and fruity aspects of this scent are difficult to parse and I think it’s because of the orchid—a note I’m not too familiar with but something is definitely bridging the stiff plum and hazy florals. Sadly I can’t shake the association with women’s shampoo. I expected something feminine but I don’t think I can really rock this. As it warms up the plum becomes a juicier, brighter more familiar take on the note. After half an hour it is much more wearable for me but still not what I was hoping for. It’s a lovely, slightly green plum supported by a subtle cloud of florals and musk. But it’s not even my favorite plum fragrance out of this round of samples (that would be Drider Crossing Guard), nor is it my favorite Japanese-inspired sample (Aizen-Myoo).
