Mouse's Long and Sad Tale

Recommended Posts

In the imp: Yup. Vanilla at the forefront, brightened a touch by sweet pea, with amber and a base of white sandalwood.

On my skin:

Wet, it's instantly vanilla and then sweet pea. As it dries, the amber comes out, so it's vanilla warmed amber. I get a touch of something powdery when I bend into sniff it, but I can't confidently attribute that to a particular note just yet. Once it develops, the powder goes away... but so does the vanilla. So it's sweet pea -- slightly rounded by vanilla -- and amber on me.

It's pretty, but it's also a pretty faint floral on me.

Faint, soft vanilla sweet pea. Reminds me of Bath and Body Works, but nicer? This would be a great sleep scent for sure, with the low throw I wouldn't wear this for any other reason except for layering.

Will not be upgrading, but I'll hold onto the imp.

Beautiful, soft sweet pea. I don't prefer to wear this but it's very nice for fans of light florals. I remember a popular Victoria's secret body spray smelling similar. There's not really any richness from the ambers. Sandalwood makes a brief background appearance that seems to bring the sweet pea even more. Can't identify the vanilla. Light throw, average wear length.

This is very well-blended. I can't tell where the vanilla ends and the sweet pea begins. The sandalwood supports and fluffs out the sweet pea, but it's not identifiable on its own. Amber adds a resinous quality to the vanilla. A gentle, sweet, and floral vanilla.

OK, finally got around to opening my imp of this; here to say what most others have; perfect sweet pea and vanilla.  May upgrade to a full bottle and/or get one for wearing and one for layering.

This was my first imp! Folks have described it well in the bottle: vanilla and sweetpea first, with amber as an afterthought and sandlewood in hiding. Wet on my skin, the sweetpea fades almost right away, and the sandlewood comes forward. Dry, the sandlewood and vanilla harmonize perfectly, with the amber giving it a beautiful resinous note and the sweetpea just a whisper of complexity that keeps me sniffing it all day. It lasts well too - a tiny drop applied in the morning is still detectable at the end of the work day. Definitely considering upgrading to a full bottle on this one

This is very sweet on me!!! The floral is definitely there but I also sense some sugar and its so so soo yummy. The throw is low and the scent is very soft but I really like it. I want to upgrade to a full bottle simply because I think I'll wear this CONSTANTLY in the spring/summer when I need a light scent.

Got this as an imp and surprisingly my husband loved it!

In the imp: vanilla and sweet pea with a hint of sandalwood. Masculine floral is what I'd call it.

On his skin: at first you can really smell the sweet pea and white sandalwood with hints of vanilla. Two hours after initial application you can smell the amber and sandalwood still with hints of vanilla. Overall this is a very pleasing scent and after the imp this might be my hubby's first ever bpal purchase!

This scent is so strange to me, but I actually enjoy it quite well. It's a pure vanilla sweetness with little hints of floral musk.

In the bottle: The vanilla is immediately the strongest scent, with that sweet pea following close behind. It's almost a little bit dusty? And definitely floral.

On my skin: I applied this scent immediately after shower. On the initial application I had something basically the same as what I had smelled in the bottle. As it dried down, however, it's almost like the scents swirled into one flat chocolate scent?? It was so interesting to me. I smelled like a nice chocolate bar lol. It did not warrant a wash-off, I actually quite enjoyed it.

This is one of the strangest scents to me, and not in a bad way! On initial smell it reminds me a bit of grandma's house, then it turns into almost a Hershey's bar. I'll definitely be coming back to it, as strange as it is.
