Rane. Report post Posted April 10, 2021 I have the 2013 version from the Etsy store. Loving the red musk & leather. I get a hint of the woods. As for the rags, I could swear I smell a fabric note, but maybe not. LoL Feels like a Winter & Spring scent.
Threemoons Report post Posted June 10, 2021 OK, just got a bottle of the OG 2006 release and I am HERE FOR IT. In the bottle: Slightly dusty/moldy leather and rags, with a hint of sourness like bath towels that need to be washed. On, wet: Almost dried blood red musk along with more damp leather and dust and a touch of mold, almost sourish. Drydown: This is the PERFECT anti-Xmas scent--it's a ball of organic decaying leather and rags, used to wipe up some very not-for-kids DARK red musk. Keeps that sharp organic edge for a long time on, even though it is low throw. So glad I snagged this.
Rane. Report post Posted June 16, 2021 (edited) I agree with Three Moons. It is like an anti-christmas. I've been falling in love with this bottle the longer I have it. Smells so sweet, leathery, & dusty. I'm not a participant in Xmas, but I plan to wear this one a lot. Edited June 16, 2021 by Rane. Typo
Rane. Report post Posted October 30, 2021 (edited) Coming back to this Oct. 30, 2021. I've been wearing this for several hours, a couple of applications. Smells a small bit of ritual resin tossed on an incense coal. I'm loving it. Something close to saffron too that I smell, but I can tolerate it. Edited October 30, 2021 by Rane. Jarek Report post Posted February 1 (edited) Wasn't sure if I should put this in this thread or the Krampus 2023 thread but. I made my choice. xD Decant, 2024 version. In the vial: Kind of a sweet wood smell that I kind of associate with birch but I don't know if I'm placing that correctly. Wet on my skin: lovely red musk and black leather, musk yes but red more obvious in the throw, black leather supporting role but still stands out. Very musk forward, red musk, and I've really come to enjoy BPAL's red musk so this is pretty great. I'm not getting much dust or sticks but I don't mind because the red musk and black leather are fabulous. Medium to long throw. Dry, four hours later: The musk partially stays but some of the red aspects of it fade, the leather is faded, the wood is more prominent now. Medium to low throw. I might get a bottle of this. If not for this recent Yule then certainly an upcoming one, because I really do love it. Edited February 1 by Jarek
