VetchVesper Report post Posted March 6, 2019 Sugar cane, molasses, oak wood, and honey. Mmmm... Kind of a boozy, dirty sugar scent along the lines of Glogg, but not buttery and not so in your face. It's actually fairly light on me. I actually wish this was a bit richer and darker. I want more molasses. This is almost a skin scent on me. Or maybe my skin is just devouring it, b/c I'm a sugar fiend. Hmmm....
monocainsheresy Report post Posted March 24, 2019 Foody, with molasses and honey as the base and a lighter layer of sugarcane and crisp oak on top. Reminds me of a summery version of Miskatonic University.
spookyumbrella Report post Posted April 9, 2019 This is certainly sugarcane and molasses, that's for sure. But on me it also does something...strange. It smells like something burning. Like, realistically burning. So much so that it kind of makes me anxious. I also think I'm alone in this, so your mileage may vary.
avilion Report post Posted November 5, 2019 Wet, this smells so strongly alcoholic on me that I feel like I'm about to catch fire. Drying down tamps it down a bit, but not by much. I wouldn't wear this anywhere where my having drank would be an issue. I'd even be anxious about wearing this while driving, tbh. Maybe it's just me.
warriortwo Report post Posted December 29, 2020 This one smells like sex. I've never tried the Smuts, but I would absolutely describe this as smutty, and I wonder if the actual Smuts are like this too? The molasses is giving the honey a dark and dirty vibe. Now I'm curious about those Smuts!
dancingchair Report post Posted March 30, 2022 This smells like a woodier version of an attempt at making maple syrup from various sugars to me. I get the amber note of honey, but the sugar cane is much stronger on me. It's what I imagined tree sap to smell like as a child: golden sweet and sticky, swirled with dark and resinous notes to keep it from smelling too edible. splendidissima Report post Posted April 7, 2022 Thick, dark molasses, sugary and sticky, with a hint of some dark woods underneath! Low throw - though next to my skin it's strong - but then I also didn't put too much on, because I'm testing a few imps. I wouldn't've thought to order this one, but I'm glad I have an imp to play with!
quantquill Report post Posted May 21 Ohhhh, wow, this is the good stuff. I had looked at the notes yesterday, thinking about buying a bottle, and then today I got a package which included a frimp (guess it was meant to be). As one does, I cracked it open and sniffed. Then I started pouring it on. I had forgotten what the notes were and so my "blind" guess was apple and honey with some coconutty creaminess. As it dried down, a teeny hint of a orangey floral peeks out, a delicate fruity blossom, with some vanilla underpinning. Yeah, I guess it's gourmand but I don't want to lick my arm, I just want to bury my nose in a sweater doused in this stuff and smell and smell. Weird that the only thing from the listed notes I'm getting is "honey". Delicate floral, creamy, appley vanillic honey. Full-sizing this one.
Vaudenilla Report post Posted December 4 (edited) This is quite aged (so do be aware that newer versions may smell different.) On my skin, Kill-devil is caramel left on a burner just a touch too long. There’s something woodsy, certainly, but I think the honey in this is really making the oak note lean plasticky or burnt on me. This really works on my mom, however, and on her it smells sweet and sandal-woody. Wear time: about 7 hours (it is always the ones we don’t love that linger, no?) Sillage: Strong.
