Soupy Twist Report post Posted March 8, 2017 (edited) An ethereal vintage, steeped with dandelion, honey, and red currants. Dandelion and honey in the bottle. Goes on as a nice honey note — just a breath of the one from Honeyed Appe. The tartness of the currants comes in, along with something which feels alcoholic — a bit of mead somehow, which makes sense. Dries as a sweet grassy note, a little like Squirting Cucumber but not as green as Sagittarius. Fades quickly, but the air is very dry right now, so I'll try again in May. galahad Report post Posted April 13, 2017 In the Vial: White wine, honey and a herbaceous note On the Skin: Light honey and slightly bitter dandelion, initially. This is so different from any BPAL honey scent I have. It is light and more a mead than wine. It is lovely and light but not weak. On the Drydown: This is such a nice light, wild and ethereal honey. The honey note become sweeter and a little rounder as it dries down. This would be a great spring/summer scent. Love it.
Casablanca Report post Posted April 18, 2017 In the bottle, I get an extremely dry chardonnay. On my skin, this is fizzy. I didn’t expect that, I guess because I didn’t read enough previous reviews. The effervescence combined with the dry white wine ends up reminding me more of champagne than wine. And that’s all I get on my skin. SN champagne. This one will find a better home on someone else. LizziesLuck Report post Posted June 30, 2017 So I tried a really aged tester of this (clearly forgot to review it) and liked it enough to get a partial when I had the opportunity. This has a fizzy quality I don't remember the tester (which was quite aged I think) having at all. I love fizzy! Wet: The honey wine note is gorgeous, especially with the effervescence. It reminds me of Joy Buzzer (honey and champagne) which I love, with some added wine. I get hints of the red currant and dandelion, but this is all about effervescent honey wine right now. Nice! Dry: A very light, surprisingly clean scent. Still slightly fizzy when it dries. Gentle wine and honey in equal measures. Slightly fruity. Really lovely! ramblingrambler Report post Posted May 23, 2018 Hmmm. I’ve had this for some time but can’t find my review, so I will post one now while wearing before I forget—excuse if second time! This is a tart, effervescent, green fragrance—not quite as green as, say, Thrice Plowed Field, but the dandelion is just as prominent as the champagne (or oaky wine, in the vein of Chardonnay) note. It isn’t as sharp or fizzy as Bon Vivant, so it is definitely a more subdued alcoholic beverage... I guess faeries can’t hold their liquor . This is pleasant and nice for late spring, early summer, but this is the only time I personally could wear it.
JuliskaMarie Report post Posted September 26, 2018 In the bottle: As described - I can pick out the individual notes if I’m looking for them, but mostly it just smells like fairy magic! So pretty! Wet on skin: Very different, but still pretty! The notes are all swirling around & rapidly switching dominance here, so it’s hard to tell how it’s going to go. SO much throw! Dry on skin: It’s much calmer now & very sweet. Still hard to describe & more honey-ish, but it definitely smells like a fairy wine! After a few hours: About the same as dry, only a little more faded. Verdict: Very unusual, but SO pretty! Sparkly & fairy-like!
RoseThornAndOak Report post Posted January 2, 2020 Oh man, I wish I was getting what many of you are! The wine note goes sour on my skin and doesn't blend well at all! There is a moment during drydown where it does this peaceful fairy wine, meadowy pleasant florally thing, then turns total crackhouse, musty, and bitter. Ah well. It's also more red wine than effervescent. I'll stick with Bon Vivant.
fairybites Report post Posted April 4, 2021 Sweet honeyed wine with a slight floral note from the dandelion. The wine is almost like grape juice on me and when it starts to fade it goes a little powdery. Sadly not getting any of the red currants. The wear time is a little on the low side sadly, but this is a really nice scent, one of my new favorites!
doomsday_disco Report post Posted October 27, 2022 I have tested this several times, but have neglected to review it. Time to change that now! This goes on as the Lab's lovely, realistic dandelion note, but quickly becomes more about the honeyed currants and wine on me. It is very sweet, and remains that way for a long time, before the dandelion fights its way back in among those sweet notes and it becomes a little more balanced (but is still more about the wine than the dandelion). I am glad I got to try the perfume version of this (I have the bath oil, which I use as a moisturizer to pair with other currant-y scents, like Eat Me), but I don't think I'd reach for it since the dandelion didn't remain as strong as it was in the beginning. splendidissima Report post Posted December 9 Sweet honeyed dandelion wine - like summer in a bottle! I actually really like this; I dug out my old partial bottle to test, and liked it more than I remembered!
