likie Report post Posted July 7, 2010 (edited) Monoi de Tahiti, vanilla, white coconut, tuberose, ylang ylang, white musk, red hibiscus, and neroli. I never wrote a review when I originally got the bottle, so I decided to write a review since it has now aged. In the bottle, it is very sweet, almost like tangy candied flowers. It almost makes me crave candy. It's not overwhelming, though, and doesn't give me a headache like some. It seems well-blended, as no notes in particular stand out to me (although I am hardly an olfactory expert). On my skin, it is slowly becoming less tangy, though still very sweet. Also, NOT MUSKY! Thank God, as musk usually makes everything smell like powdery awful nothing on me. It's drying well, not deteriorating too much. This is very feminine, and sort of straddles the border between floral and foodie (due to its sweetness). It's great for spring or summer, and strikes me as something that could be worn in more professional atmospheres. eta lab description. karihan Report post Posted January 13, 2011 I cannot believe I haven't reviewed Tiki Queen yet, because she is gorgeous on me! Lush tropical flowers with the lovely monoi gardenia taking center stage, made sweet and just a touch creamy with the vanilla and coconut, with the musk and neroli adding just enough depth and sophistication to keep this from becoming little-girly. Bright, fun and just a tiny bit sexy. Doesn't morph much, and it lasts well on my often scent-eating skin. I'm sooooo glad I finally laid hands on a full bottle of this! Gold Dust Kitten Report post Posted April 21, 2011 Wow, this is a stunner for someone who loves tropical scents during the Summer. Tiki Queen is all that I hoped she would be. Candied tuberose, tiare and coconut FTW. It's intoxicating! I'm loving the faintly tropical coconut-vanilla dry down.
LiberAmoris Report post Posted June 22, 2015 Tiki Queen is the kind of scent that would draw bees. Sweet tuberose and monoi, smooth white coconut and vanilla, and white musk at the bottom. The hibiscus, neroli, and ylang ylang are all very subtle. It's so summery and lovely, another perfect scent for a tropical vacation or just a Monday in June. LizziesLuck Report post Posted June 30, 2016 In the bottle, this is very tropical/floral. I would have guessed Tiare, but clearly that's not it. Maybe there's a similarity with Monoi de Tahiti?? I'm not that familiar. Wet: Beautiful lush tropical flowers, something sweet and candy-like. Interesting! Not quite what I expected. Liking it so far. Dry: This ends up smelling like Coconut, Vanilla Bean and Tiare Hair Gloss to me. Not a bad thing at all! It's primarily a beautiful tropical floral ( I swear it smell like Tiare, am I nuts??) with hints of vanilla and just the faintest whisper of coconut. I love it. I would totally recommend this to folks wanting a really tropical beachy scent that is not coconut heavy. This screams summer, the beach, vacation, the tropics, AWESOME. donkehpoo Report post Posted June 13, 2019 Wet: This has been repeated time and time again in previous reviews, but it's perfect: lush, sweet, tropical flowers. She is a BEAUTY. Dry: Still a gorgeous lush, tropical floral blend; it's less sweet than the wet stage, and the coconut has made an appearance! If it sounds like a blend you'd enjoy, you probably will. It's really, really lovely, even if you're not big into floral scents!
Geminirubyshoes Report post Posted December 15, 2021 Full disclosure, I bought this second hand after ogling it for so many years! I have Tiki Princess which is one of my treasures so I had a hunch that I would love Tiki Queen as well. Smelling it in the bottle, the florals are so sharp I almost regretted buying it but never judge a BPAL by first sniff! On the skin it’s a tropical flower BOMB that is heady, luscious and lingering. I feel like a 1950’s pinup queen..I think it’s too precious to use right now in the winter in Vermont so I will save it for summertime 🖤
