Voyeurs Among the Cherry Blossoms

Soft moss, vanilla musk, and cherry blossom.

In the imp- Cherry blossom and musk, very little vanilla.
Wet- Moss takes over, with just a hint of cherry blossom in the background.
Dry- The moss mellows out and plays nicely with the floral notes.

The scent makes me feel like I'm sitting under cherry tree in the spring.

In decant: hmm, the first thought that hit me as I sniffed this was "cologne". That's how my nose interpreted the blast of moss I first sniffed, followed by the cherry blossom and that lovely vanilla musk.

 

Wet on skin: ohh, this is so pretty. The strongly cologney feel is gone, and it's now a super creamy moss/cherry blossom/vanilla blend. It's beautiful, ladylike, and yummy without being foody. Absolute love! There is a bright, pleasing coolness to the blend, not minty but definitely cool. I don't have any idea where that is coming from, but it's very pretty.

 

Dry: wait...this is quite a morpher. On me, anyway. As it dries and stays longer on my skin, it slowly loses its femininity slowly but surely, creeping ever onwards to a gender neutral scent and then on to a rather masculine (if slightly unisex) scent. Looks like the cherry blossom has all burned off It also fluctuates between being soapy and not.

 

Verdict: oh, I'm so sad at how this dried on me. The wet phase, with the cherry blossom at the forefront and the moss keeping things in check, was absolutely divine. The dry phase is another matter entirely, with the moss just rampaging all over the place and the shy cherry blossom retreating all the way.

Decant: Cherry blossoms and musk.

 

Wet: Nothing. Seriously, I press my nose up against my arm and smell...vague cherry blossom skin.

 

Drying: Hints of moss-y skin. Still so very faint that I can't smell it.

 

Dry: Still nothing. Aww, man. From the subtle, barely there, nose-againts-skin sniffing, if this actually bloomed on me, it'd probably be gorgeous.

 

Verdict: I'm not sure what's up with my skin and this scent (It loves cherry blossoms! I swear!) but it's...not there. I've read about it happening but never actually had it happen. So weird.

In the bottle - Oddly like some sort of soothing lotion

 

Wet on me - Again it smells like some sort of soothing lotion, the best I can come up with is camomile lotion, but it's not quite that

 

Dry on me - More of a smooth skin scent than anything else

 

Overall - Didn't really work for/on me

Clean and slightly soapy, but green enough to distinguish itself more as something floral and green. Waaaaay too soft for me/on me though, as I prefer really in your face kinda things, but this is so subtle and sweet, I can't bring myself to dislike it at all.
