roseus Report post Posted November 25, 2021 In the imp I get a buttery pastry with nuts. On my skin it gets less buttery, and the nuts smell distinctly like almond, and I get a bit of sugary icing. As it dries it gets a bit less sweet, a little more oaty, and lightly spiced. I want to say nutmeg? A really comforting and homey gourmand.
dancingchair Report post Posted May 29, 2023 Sweet, buttery porridge. It does have a spice note, which is more nutmeg than anything else. There are nuts mixed in, evening out the sweetness a little bit. Pretty straightforward but quite yummy.
AutoroboticTribal Report post Posted January 19 (edited) Quote Porridge, kukui nuts, and pastry crumbs. Ever had a perfume that smells totally repellant at first application, only to turn nicely sweet and well-blended on your skin musk after half an hour? Halfling is exactly like that. I personally love the smell of porridge and pastry (though I don't know how kukui nuts would smell like, since I've only ever seen kukui nuts in jewellery). But on first application, it smelled STRONGLY of nose-burning almond extract. It literally left a soapy taste in my mouth just to smell it. But I let it hang on and only around 30 minutes, did it finally calm down and begin to smell like soft oatmeal cookies, pie crumbs, and toasted nuts. This perfume scratches my carb-craving itch, but it's definitely something that I can't bring with me in public to apply when on the go. My husband in particular likes this one, but that's because I only apply this perfume when I know he's nowhere near me when I'm getting ready for the day.
