porcelina Report post Posted September 3, 2014 Blonde wood, linen swaddling, pumpkin rind, and bourbon vanilla. the changeling smells much darker than i would have guessed based on the description. i can't tell if the pumpkin is the kind of non-foodie pumpkin i smell in pumpkin smash or the usual bpal pumpkin note; the vanilla is throwing me off. there is lots of the fresh linen note and very rich vanilla. this is very autumnal, thanks to the pumpkin and (to a lesser extent) the vanilla, but not at all like a typical autumn scent. it is very elegant and more of a woods-and-vanilla blend along the lines of the antikythera mechanism, but not quite as dark or rich. LizziesLuck Report post Posted September 3, 2016 Wet: Hmm, different than I expected. The pumpkin smells more like spiced pumpkin than pumpkin rind. The woods keep this from teetering over the edge into gourmand territory though. Dry: Interesting. Dark vanilla and sweet woods. I can't decide how I feel about it. It's really intriguing though, and a very different vanilla. It may require further testing.

Lucchesa Report post Posted February 21, 2018 And I think I ended up with Coldfire’s Changeling, but this quicksilver scent is terrific on me. It has the fresh pumpkin and something of the golden vibe of Bunraku Theater. Not much booze on me, just a hint of sweetness from the bourbon vanilla. Clean pale woods. A great daytime scent for a sunny autumn afternoon.
