Blood Kiss

So I've had my full bottle for a couple years; I mostly wear this scent for special occasions like date nights and parties. I've gotten  a few compliments on it! It's a very sexy scent, no doubt. 

 

In the bottle: Those cherries REALLY shine through to me, and they smell so ripe! I also immediately get a heavy scent of the wine, almost like a bottle has just been uncorked in front of me, and some sweet vanilla in the background. 

On myself: On the initial application the scent is musky and sweet with the cloves having a much bigger presence. It's just a little spicy, musky, sweet and sensual. 

 

Every time I wear this scent I think of vampires, dancing at a masquerade with the moonlight shining through their stained-glass windows. It's such a lovely scent, and one of my favorites!

Hello old friend, it's been so painfully long since I have smelled you.

In the bottle: This scent is alive with a pulse of its own and a raw, reckless sensuality you can't find in the run-of-the-mill selection at retail stores. The vanilla is lush and complex and sweet and heady. The clove is a perfect counter-balance reminiscent of clove cigarettes at old school coffee houses on Pacific Highway in 1990's Southern California. Smear some kohl on your eyes, lace up your ox blood Doc Martens and grab your skateboard for this deliciously sinister ride down memory lane. The cherry and vetiver are playful and coquettishly jubilant under the surface of the husky red wine. 

Fresh On the skin: As the scent begins to amp with body heat it cranks to an 11, 'other scents only go to 10 but this one goes to 11'.

Dry Down: The notes emulsify into a smoldering mélange that stays long after you put it on. It lingers like a good love song you get stuck in your head and break into when you think no one's listening. Like the hug of a lover that stays with you this scent will haunt you. It haunted me long after I ran out of my last bottle. My new bottle arrived today and it's like no time has passed. We picked up right where we left off. Welcome back old friend.
