HIME GYARU
Fit for a princess: pink musk, spun sugar, white rose, pink gardenia, black currant, and violet leaf.

Imo, wet it smells like herbal essence shampoo, with cotton candy and violets. I actually mean this in a good way, as its a really pretty scent. It is very pink, and a bit powdery sweet. Hours later, the powdery sugar note turns more cotton candy-ish, and the violets drop back to the gardenia. So on me, mostly a cotton candy/gardenia scent. And at the very end, you do get a huge wallop of pink musk. Overall, this thing throws like a star quarterback. Its a nice girly pink scent. If you liked loli or cab goth, you'll probably really like this. ...its actually quite in the middle. The cutie-pie sweetness of loligoth with the bright floral aspect of cab goth. The finish on this one is similar to velvet unicorn.

Starts brutally, tooth-achingly cotton-candy-fluff sweet with a slight rosy tinge, develops into a dusty (violet on my skin = dusty, like orris but purple instead of greyish lavender in tone), sweet frilly nothingness. Smells a little like one of those powdery violet candies, Chowder's I think?, but if there were rose in addition to the violet. There's a slight grape-like note, too, which is probably some variation on the black currant, and the musk is present, but pretty subdued. On me, this faded after about an hour, with a moderate-to-minimal-throw.

I actually found this to be a pretty solid interpretation of the Hime-Gyaru style, really, so if you imagine one of those girls, totted out to the nines with huge hair, frilly skirts, plenty of makeup, strings of pearls, and way too many ribbons, all of which cost her (or her boyfriend, or someone else who supports her in her fashion/lifestyle) $$$, then try to decipher the waft of sugar-sweetness, money, and hairspray coming off of her, that's not a bad description of how this smells.

Not really for me, but if you like yourself some expensive sugar, it'll probably be good for you.

In bottle: ha, very pink and sugary and candy-like. Sugared rose (similar to how I remember Hope), hints of black currant. Very....pink. Fluffy.

Wet on skin: very light on my skin. It stays mostly the same apart from the violet leaf peeking through on my skin, smelling like, well, violets. At this stage this is like a cross between Hope and Faith. Like if they weren't Siamese twins.

Dry: it gets softer and softer as it dries, but there are times where it feels almost sharp to my nose. It's VERY pink and candy-like. Sugar, dusty flowers and violet--and a whole lot of pink ribbons and lace. Very apt for what the blend is for.

Verdict: it's cute, but not for me. This is like Loli.Goth, only with the pinkness cranked all the way up.

Pink sugary roses, hint of gardenia and violets. This is a very PINK scent - soft, sugary, gentle. It's perfect for a little girl, or even a tween.

Innocent, sugary, pink.

Hime Gyaru is like a girly perfume crashed into an amped up version of Midway's sugary cotton candy. The pink musk and gardenia are a bit perfumey/sharp smelling, but I like the light edge they add against the sweeter notes.

This is pretty much sugary pink cotton candy with hints of sweet rose, violet candy, and perfumey pink musk & gardenia. Bright, pink, girly and sweet. I think that it fits the Hime Gyaru style perfectly. It is a keeper for me ^_^

In the Imp (ITI): Pink sugar, strong but girly musk, violet, sugar and gardenia. It' s grily but slightly sophisticated as well. Parks of the "pink" quality remind me of Red, the Fraggle scent, to a certain extent.

Wet: Yum! Violets, sugar, pink musk, currant, and light gardenia combine to make such a lovely floral scent. It reminds me of chiffon and lace.

Dry:As it dries, the musk and sugar come out, but not to the point of being overly sweet or masking the softly feminine floral of the violets and lilacs.

In the vial: Powdered berry candy.

On my skin wet: Seriously sweet. Berries, sugar and violet. Not a lot of throw so far.

On my skin dry: The gardenia has decided to take front stage and to stay there. It's now mainly gardenia with a hint of black currant and sugar.

This has too much gardenia for me.

I bought a bottle of this unsniffed because it has a lot of notes that are good on me. Wary of the pink musk (not usually very good on me) and the violet leaf (sometimes sours).

In the bottle: Floral at first, with two distinct notes, and then I get the fruit. Not noticing musk or sugar, though.

Wet: Fruit first, but with a strong white rose element. Interesting that the gardenia has fallen back. But it's not well blended yet, rather piercing. I may not be able to wear this one if the gardenia doesn't behave.

Half an hour: A very nice fruity musky floral, less sweet than many despite the sugar. I think the tannic violet leaf note is what's keeping it in control. I love the fruit-musk-floral combination better than any other, so this is nice. It is somewhat more girlish than many, though.

Two hours: Now it's a somewhat sweeter fruity floral musk. The balance has shifted toward musk and away from the gardenia. The white rose mostly just adds depth to the sweetness rather than behaving like rose. I like this, but it may be too girly for me.

Twelve hours: This stayed nice the whole time on me. It's definitely at least a four. But it's also definitely too frilly for me style-wise. In that way it reminds me of Sugar Plum Fairy: lovely with my chemistry, but just not my idiom.

In the Bottle: powdery pink musk and juicy florals.

Wet: The pink musk is definitely heavy and powdery, like a pink musk cotton candy with powdery violets..it kind of smells like Australia pink musk flavoured Livesavers… but sniffing closer to the skin, the gardenia in this smells really fruity, like it’s been drenched in forest berry juice, and then candied with spun sugar, a little sparkly. It’s still fresh, but forever crystallised in a light dusting of sugar… it’s divine!

Drydown: The fresh florals and pink musk continue to harmonise together. I think this is the pink musk from Serving Fish…and kind of smells like Serving fish, only less creamy, more amped up in sweetness, and more juicy to the nose. I don’t really get any white rose, and if it’s pink rose its lost in a pink floral bouquet. I get more fresh gardenia and powder violet, really… but its all wonderfully balanced by sugared, powdery pink musk. It kind of dries down to more of a light, bright and refreshing pink musk candy scent. Definitely not as heavy wet… but remains deliciously pink and subtly sparkly and lightly floral through all phases, much like the fashion style ;D

TL;DR: Juicy pink floral bouquet and powdery pink musk.

So aged this is actually very lovely. Almost all these notes would normally be really awful for me but they have aged to almost even working on my wonky skin. The Pink sugar seems predominant because it is a sweet but not over sweet scent. I cannot pull put the other scents, but it is sort of a golden rosy flower with some earthy grounding notes that give it a surprisingly complex but well blended dry down.

Not sure if I should keep or not, it is actually quite lovely but not my normal scent.

Edit to add: the rose and violet are actually quite tame

Super fresh (almost aquatically cold/fresh), skin musky pink and peachy, powdery pink goodness! It doesn't change much on my skin (aside that it calms down sliiightly so, and gets a little closer to a "skin scent"). It's got a good throw, and doesn't overpower, super feminine.  it's a spiritual sister to Beautiful and adored.
