absinthetics Report post Posted September 17, 2012 A bracing, invigorating blend of lemon, lime, pink grapefruit, Italian bergamot, and peppermint will replenish your senses, refresh your mind, alleviate stress, and banish exhaustion! This is a zinger of a scent. This is a citrus blend of lemon and mint that is somehow warmed up a little. It's cold and hot at the same time. It is Very bright and if you are half a sleep and take a good whiff of it, it will put you back in the game!
puck_nc Report post Posted September 22, 2012 Origin: decant from a D*C circle Initial Thoughts: While I'm not the biggest fan of citrus scents, now that my Polar Bear Plunge is almost gone I need a new wake-me-the-hell-up option in the shower. In the Bottle: Lime! Bergamot! Mint! It's snappy, it's eye-popping, and even sniffing from the bottle is livening me up. And when I first opened it, my pre-teen son was all over it, wanting to put some on his skin. In the Shower: This is amazing and unsettling. I feel like I've been dipped into a vat of that Icy-Hot arthritis rub. My skin itself feels warm and comforted inside, but icy and refreshed outside. Very strange, but I am definitely awake and alert now. After the Shower: It takes a while, but this eventually settles down into a soft citrus mint scent. Verdict: I think I'm going to have to watch the BPTP venues for any leftovers or find a fairy for the next event where they're selling this, because I'll definitely use up a bottle or two. milo Report post Posted September 30, 2012 Invigorating, I'll say! At first, I'm getting mostly peppermint and citrus, this is good, as I love both. Dry, mostly peppermint, and is it ever zingy and eye opening! I love the scent of this, but it actually makes my skin tingle, making it cold, I am tingling EVERYWHERE, and goosepimply. Not nice, when it's only 10 degrees outside today. I've never had an oil do this to me, must be the peppermint, as my Polar Bear Plunge BO doesn't do this. I wish I had this a month ago, to try when it was hot here. I do like this, and can't wait to try it in the summer months.
izile Report post Posted October 16, 2012 I haven't gotten to try this in a bath yet, only just on my skin, straight - but Mmmmmm. It is bright and sharp! I love the combo of peppermint and citrus and this is an great blend of citrus with all the variety to keep it from getting too sweet. It still reminds me a bit of girl scout camp where they taught us how to suck the juice out of an orange half through an old style peppermint stick. Love! zankoku_zen Report post Posted August 29, 2013 So, I finally busted some of this out the other day.... and Very minty, very refreshing. The mint tingled EVERYWHERE. Literally. So if you're a bit sensitive, this may not be the thing you enjoy while soaking into it. I found it, personally, very invigorating, but the tingly cool sensation may not be fore everyone. sarandipitee Report post Posted May 1, 2016 I decided to walk 6K after I got home from work (on top of the nearly 2k walk to my job and the 8 hours on my feet). Needless to say I was pretty damn sore and exhausted afterwards. I decided a hot soak with the remnants of my bottle (sadface) would help. It's amazing how you can feel cold and hot at the same time. While it's very refreshing (peppermint heaven) I also find it super destressing and relaxing. My achy bod is feeling quite a bit better now. I'll have to stalk etsy and the sales thread to see if I can score another bottle.
