Caper Report post Posted December 1, 2012 The sticky sweet scent of candy corn! Oh I'm first! This soap is a chocolate brown, with small squares of white, orange, and red peeking through.I decided to use it as a handsoap in the bathroom because my kids love to wash with "the chocolate candy soap". I definitely get the sweetness of candy corn mixed with a chocolate layer on top. It smells like something I want to eat, the lather is great, and it doesn't dry out my hands.Overall a win, especially for encouraging my kiddos to wash their hands! Numanoid Report post Posted January 13, 2013 (edited) Just opened my bar today...couldn't wait any longer to use up the one I have currently!! So, might update this later, but it is a dark brown color with little orange flecks in it. Not sure it smells like candy corn to me, but it does kind of smell like chocolate play-doh. Will of course keep using it, but for now, yeah...no candy corn. Update: Been a couple days, and yep...just smells like choco play-doh. Sadly can't go on using! Gwydion Report post Posted February 9, 2013 The lab frimped me a whole bar of soap! Previously, I have not been impressed with the soaps, but clearly the soap quality has dramatically increased since… 2007? Something like that. The soap is pleasant on the skin and if not as soft as zum, it also doesn’t melt as fast, so it’s a fair trade off: still comfortable to use but long lasting. Unlike the long ago soap I tried, this has reasonable throw, both dry and wet. Not knowing what it was meant to smell like when I opened it, I thought it was rather like sweeter, waxier play dough. Come to think of it, that’s not a bad description of candy corn, so it’s a fair cop. This is not a scent I’d have chosen for myself, but it’s pleasant enough and I’m happy enough to use it. While this isn’t the ideal scent to lure me back to BPAL soaps, the over all quality has convinced me that other soaps might be worth purchasing in future.
